These young, athletic teams seem to really trouble the C's.

The Celtics are a pretty slow-twitch team, especially with TL out, so yeah when the C’s are coasting/aren’t dialed in while the other guys are going all out it can look bad.

I’m going to guess that Tatum comes out and has a really good 2nd half….but, his first half stat line against this team is really fucking bad. Like hard to put into words bad

You are Jayson Tatum, you’re wide open on a fast break, why the fuck are you passing it to Marcus Smart.

The lack of a rim-runner is not-so-lowkey killing a lot of their offensive vibes. Easy to defend when you know everyone just wants to casually chill behind the 3 pt line.

Where would this rank among the C's bad losses this season?

Wiscansin, by way of Attleboro
This team plays with such an astonishing amount of indifference. They're just as likely to give you a garbage effort as a good one post all-star break.

I'm not sure how anyone could've watched the last two or three weeks and think this team is going to turn it on, precisely because you don't get to do that. They play so often down to the level of competition, then get shocked that they're in a tight game or down in the fourth. You get punished time and again for fucking around for the first 38-40 minutes of the game.

Tatum and Smart have their heads lodged directly in their asses.

Bench them both, get Brogdon and Grant in there, and roll.

Here
I said a while back I was concerned about Smart. The way he's played, combined with the injuries piling up and his body type, he's the kind of guy that can cliff around age 30. I'm not saying he's there, but I'd bet his best days are behind him. They'd be better off with White back in the starting lineup.

Pritchard out with a heel injury.
Yeah, changed it to Grant.

Right now, anyone but Smart. Tatum will turn it on, he usually does.

For my money, the ball should be in JB's hands on every possession. He's imposing his will on this Rockets team.

Why do we play so badly against bad teams?

Also, we really miss having a center.

Agreed. He's had so many injuries and years of throwing his body around like a football player. Looks like we're seeing the bill come due now.
