I'm going to this one tonight, so I guess I'll try my hand at starting a thread. Go new guys! (And old guys!)

Stempniak, Liles and Acciari are all here and appear to be in. Guessing the lineup is:

Marchand - Bergeron - Stempniak
Eriksson - Krejci - Pastrnak
Beleskey - Spooner - Hayes
Ferraro - Acciari - Connolly
Randell

Chara - K. Miller
Liles - Seidenberg
Krug - McQuaid
Morrow

For better or worse, it appears this is the group they're going to go to battle with. They can't really afford to drop points against a team like Calgary so win, please. I enjoy playoff hockey and hated not having it for a year, so I'll be rooting for them to get in, even if it's just for a fleeting 4 or 7 games.

Love the Acciari callup & recycling of the 4th line. I wouldn't be surprised to see Czarnik or Cave audition down the stretch as well.

There is more truth in this statement than probably 90% of what is said on SoSH. Playoff hockey is the second best thing in sports, when your team is not involved, and it is the best thing in sports when your team is. I'm not sure the sports fan in me could survive two years without it, at this point.

No. He played 180(ish) games for the Bruins and (apparently) asked out. I'm not saying Bruin fans should boo him, but honor him? Why?
The guy bitched so much to his mommy about how lonely he was here, nobody liked him and the coach was a big meanie by wanting him to play defense, that he forced his way out. I'd boo the shit out of that fucking pussy if this game wasn't on my hockey night and I could attend.

As is your right. I prefer to treat him like any other irrelevant ex-Bruin who comes through town. Ignore him.

On a non-hockey related note:

GO VOTE TODAY!
Sanders to Trump or anywhere in-between, our democracy is stronger when people vote

Just like Dennis Wideman.

Seeing the lineup tonight makes me dislike the deadline moves less. That's a really deep forward group.

Also, fuck all you Dougie haters.

For all the shit Killer has gotten, Seidenberg/Mcquaid is the race for both worst defenseman on the team and worst contract.

As someone who has given Miller a lot of shit, I agree.

I like the way Stempniak has looked with Bergy and Marchand so far.

Gaudreau grabs the sick and pulls it into his body. Penalty on Miller. Boooo.
And I'm defending Miller. My whole world is upside down.

I liked Liles and Acciari that period. Liles made that nice touch pass from the half boards in the B's end that sprung the Spooner chance early on. Acciari seemed active.

Good job ref. Nice to see you can't handle someone saying a bad word after you blow a call. Two penalties on him enough to massage your ego for the night? Or do you have some more in you yet?

This is the most Hollywood officiating crew I've seen this year. Frequent borderline/phantom calls on both sides, the Beleskey thing, linesmen who won't drop the fucking puck, and linesmen in the ear of every player going to the box.

Wasn't pretty but they got 2 points that they needed. If they can Steal a point out of Chi/Was and take 6 of 8 next week the playoff berth would start to look pretty secure.

I'm starting to really think keeping Miller's minutes down bodes well for team success. He had the third-highest TOI for defensemen Sunday, they get crushed. Tonight, a D low 16:05.
