Maybe this is the game Tatum figures out he can positively impact a game without necessarily scoring. But probably not.

Good news is Al stayed at 26 minutes. It happened because Kanter played the entire 4th. Tatum played 38. These rotations, man...

Tatum looked really good passing the ball in the second half. I'm inclined to be positive about that. If he'd shot anything close to what he usually does, they would've blown the doors off the Raptors.

Kanter was a +13.5/100 on/off prior to this game. That number only went up. With Kanter on the floor the ORB is ~36%. Off it's 20.8%.

Nice to see them close out the 4th. Bench really helped tonight. Nice game by Kanter. He's always been a good rebounder and decent low post scorer but this offense just looks better with more options when he is setting screens. Hopefully Ime begins to have more confidence in the bench.

This was my exact reaction. I wonder if any of this would be different if Ime hired an experienced HC as his lead assistant

Maybe the rules changes are helping too. The guys you can't really put Kanter on the floor against -- the high PnR elite point guards -- aren't as effective this year in PnR. My guess is maybe the rule changes have made an impact? Guys can stay in contact with these players without the fear of the fouls?

I'll have to look at the PnR ball handler stats and compare them to the last few years.

I just read through this thread and based solely upon the posts, it was obvious that the Celtics lost the game, most of the players played like crap, and Udoka coached poorly once more.

Hard to believe the Celtics won by 12 points.
