Kyler Murray has already made 138 million dollars playing football. He's got another 156 million coming to him the next four years. If he was playing baseball, he'd probably be in his 2nd year as a pro, and have made a few million.

I am not sure football has the worst salary structure for the top players.
I don’t think thats even an argument. Basketballl and baseball contracts are all fully guaranteed.

Oh, it's an argument that obliterated your comments. He's made an actual 138 million versus a couple of million in baseball, assuming he even made the pros. No wonder you blew right by it and just said nothing.

Kyler is 27 and he's pocketed 138 million. With another 156 million coming.

Could Kyler have made 300 million in baseball by the time he was 31?

Baseball you don’t get paid for a good while in the minors and then the pros.
basketball is probably the best, but you generally need to be the 0.1% who is reallyy tall and not be a gangly oaf

Id guide my hypothetical super athlete kid to not football, but that isn’t the reality for a lot of the country.

Soccer for some of the DB and CB may be an option, but unless they get to Europe the money isn’t close

Wasn’t that the exact theory posed? Am I missing something? The original poster said “cream of the crop” athletes. I am not even disputing the idea that in the real world this hypothetical super athlete would choose football. Football in the most popular sport in America. Everyone loves football.

My point, which apparently I didn’t make well enough, is that if I was the Pa Kent to this Superman I would try like fucking hell to get him to play a different sport. NFL players have the most long term health risk and the smallest piece of the revenue pie.

Either I am misunderstanding what the original poster was saying or I am doing a bad job explaining because I am pretty stunned that this has turned into an argument

That UNS call is the type of stuff the NCAA actually cares about. You can miss 100 holding calls but if you don’t call those points and taunts you are in the shit.

I’ll refer you to my most recent post. There must be some fundamental misunderstanding because I can’t imagine anyone disagreeing with my main point

OP said cream of the crop / high processors are picking other sports ergo qb play is dropping
They aren’t
