Norwich (18) and Watford (17) are in the second half of an incredibly important EPL matchup for the relegation battle. Josh Sargent has Norwich ahead 1-0 after an hour.

Many other weekend EPL matchups are important too, pitting teams on either end of the table against each other:

Saturday (home team first; table position in parentheses)
Everton (16) vs. Villa (13)
Brentford (14) vs. Wolves (8)
Leeds (15) vs. Newcastle (19)
MANU (7) vs. West Ham (4)

Southampton (12) vs. MANC (1)

Sunday
Arsenal (6) vs. Burnley (20)
Palace (11) vs. Pool (2)
LCFC (10) vs. Brighton (9)
Chelsea (3) vs. Spurs (5)

That's a damn good slate!

Edit: 2-0 to Norwich now!

Edit 2: The second was also Sargent!!

What an idiot announcer. Blaming the player for celebrating and inviting getting hit in the head by a full bottle.

Watched it again, he did preface with the “no defense BUT” he invited it….there is no BUT needed.

Good for Rebecca Lowe taking on Jon Champion at halftime for those comments. Refreshing when announcers hold each other accountable.

Everton was looking punchy but not exactly dangerous. Villa seemed like the better team and deserve the lead at half.

Rebecca Lowe is awesome, with Tim Howard taking advantage of the door being opened.

No. Classless.

It’s a nut punch, Everton had played well, no real threats to goal but a few through balls that wound have been easy chances but didn’t quite come off.

Admit that team sheet was a bit of a head scratcher. New fullbacks are quite raw but should have at least been in the squad. Gordon should be in there. Midfield two has shown to be a failure under Rafa, Gomes has been better today than his recent form, but we don’t really have the horses to keep the middle secure especially with Cotinho.

Gordon has made a noticable difference since coming on.

Better effort. Should have had something, while second half in Villa end. But not enough quality in midfield to get the ball up the pitch. Too much hoof it from Pickford and hope.

Subs were good and came in early enough to affect the game but they should have all started anyway.

Dunc did well but if he’s expecting a shot at the job he didn’t stake a claim today.

But he’s still captured Mrs O’s heart33399FFD-A9C3-488C-87B4-4E753662C492.jpeg

for anyone watching on Peacock, they seem to be including more NBC halftime show into the West Ham-Utd global feed

I am totally beside myself. Even the idea of Champions League Football five years ago was unthinkable. Being in fourth place 59% of the way through the season is unreal.

United's midfield looks like they are trying out to be place kickers. Just skying shots into the stands.

Rashford at the death, but looks like VAR has something to say.

That can’t be called offside. The technology doesn’t exist to determine it and that’s not what the rule is intended to prevent anyway.

I keep saying this, the guy on that side who really scares me is Cavani, every time he’s on he impacts the game

West Ham have four games in hand on Spurs. The final UCL spot is really impossible to analyze given how many games Man U and West Ham have on the two North London clubs.

Kudos to Newcastle's training staff for getting Jonjo's humours in balance today. He'd been carrying an excess of black bile for a few weeks.

Genuinely did not realize Chelsea was only up by a few points for third place with multiple clubs having a game or two, or 3, in hand.

Top 4 race should be exciting

who do we think the next manager will be at Watford? The Pozzo's definitely could have saved money by not bringing on Ranieri earlier in the season - think they would have landed in the same spot with the previous guy

Saints are holding there own against City despite the massive edge in possession. Up 1-0 and two other guilt edged chances ruled off for offside. Mind you Stirling should have levelled with a gaping net staring him in the face.

Time goes so slowly when you're rooting for AN Other team to hang on for a result against City. Every minute seems like an eternity.

Be good for the league if City drop points but i can still see them winning this match. As can we all.

not sure why NBC Sports is promoting Men in Blazers at 2pm on Peacock, when they make it available to stream already

also nice of the studio to not ignore the other two matches happening on Peacock

Pickford and Alisson with world class saves chalked off to offside this weekend.

Why the flag didn’t immediately go up, I’ll never understand.

Palace aren’t getting possession but they look far more organized since abandoning that laughable press.
