Not sure if it's official unless I quote your Tweet saying that lolChase Meidroth is starting the year in Worcester. Jorge Benitez too. Those two were on the bubble
Still won’t ever beat the group of lefties Bloom stashed in Worcester last year. They outnumbered the right-handers at times. Not sure if it's official unless I quote your Tweet saying that lol

Once Yorke got announced to AA, Meidroth to AAA made a ton of sense. & I think Benitez earned AAA this Spring (7.2 IP, 2.35 ERA, 13 k's).
Going to be a fair # of lefties there again...
Bernardino
Booser
Benitez
Luetge
Jacques

Thanks, Andrew, it would be great to see Hagenman make a leap (straight east for 40-odd miles)!Caught up with Justin Hagenman today at WooSox media day…. Might want to watch him this year. New cutter is working wonders for him.
Parker also caught up with AJ Politi who is glad the Red Sox are finally on his analytical level...Caught up with Justin Hagenman today after a solid showing in big league camp for the Red Sox. Was “surprised” by how many swings and misses his cutter created. “It was a new pitch for me last year and we upped the usage of it this spring. When we did that, it ticked up in velocity and played better off my other pitches. Thought it was working pretty well for me.”
& Joe Jacques who feels better about his slider...All smiles from WooSox right-hander AJ Politi during WooSox media day today. Pretty interesting quote regarding new pitching leadership in the org: “It’s more in line with what I like to do in regards to analytics. It was huge for my development just during spring training alone. Big fan of the DriveLine way of thinking.”
Caught up with Zack Kelly yesterday in Worcester in regards to recovering from his oblique injury. “I still have to build up a little bit. I have only pitched once since March 2nd in a game. The first couple of outings here in Worcester are going to be me building up more. I still have to go two innings and am going to try to go back-to-back games early on.”
Hopefully Fitts on Wednesday.Rotation is starting to be set:
Grant Gambrell - Friday
Brian Van Belle - Saturday
Jason Alexander - Sunday
Cooper Criswell - Tuesday (home opener)
Microphones on the umps for challenges now. LOVE that!Worcester’s season starts today at Lehigh Valley.
Here's an article with some changes the WooSox have planned this year.

Yeah, Portland is definitely the hotbed, but hopefully several of them will be getting to Worcester soon. Not a lot of pay to see talent there. Need to make it to Portland
will probably still make it to a few Tuesdays
since, you know, parking.
I thought it was interesting with most of the MLB starters drastically cutting down on the 4 seam fastball that Gambrell is upping the usage of his:Grant Gambrell took the ball for the season opener last Friday and threw four scoreless innings while punching out seven batters. While the right-hander mentioned it was '“a real cold one”, he was honored to be the opening day guy picked to pitch.
“I am never a finger licker, but it was so cold I had to lick my fingers and use bubble gum to try to get a little bit of tack because there was no moisture in the air.” Gambrell told Beyond the Monster on Tuesday. “I was trying to do as much as possible just to find a little bit of grip whenever possible.”
https://beyondthemonster.substack.com/p/grant-gambrell-talks-working-on-sinker“It is the same arsenal as last year but I am trying to use the four-seam a little more this year just so people don’t only sit on the sinker.” Gambrell said. “It just gives them something else to change their eye levels with. I just pitch my game and fill up the zone. I have a really good defense and good catchers that are here so I trust them to make the plays when they come and I will do my job to throw strikes and keep the hitters off balance.”
What an embarrassment to only get 8422 at their home opener. The PawSox 2015 home opener, the last one before the Lucchino group shit all over McCoy and the RI market drew 10,258.
Was it a Tuesday afternoon? What an embarrassment to only get 8422 at their home opener. The PawSox 2015 home opener, the last one before the Lucchino group shit all over McCoy and the RI market drew 10,258.
It was a night game on a Thursday, 55 degrees at first pitch, and the PawSox got their 2014 Governors' Cup rings before the game. Was it a Tuesday afternoon?
View: https://twitter.com/WooSoxGrounds/status/1775938301406462314Today has been also postponed. To prevent back to back doubleheaders (and I guess they can’t do Sunday DH) todays home game will be made up as a road game in May or June.

Take care of yourself man. We will still be here, and there are plenty of ways to know what’s going on in minor league land.Yeah, sorry, am back home, but life has been pretty exhausting & have been slacking on trying to get caught up.
That's what we longtimers used to call a "humblebrag..." ;-}I should be posting here since I am at the games and in the clubhouse but I do forget. I will pick it up
Thx for picking up my slack!Am I looking in the wrong place, or is there no mention of last night's WooSox one-hitter? Are the minor league game threads dead? Jason "Costanza" Alexander with six hitless innings (7K, 2BB), then Jorge Benitez -- who threw the ball really well in spring training -- pitched a hitless 7th, before allowing a one-out GB single in the 8th. Guerrero with a perfect 9th.
Nathan Hickey hit a first inning HR and Sox won, 9-0.
