Maybe conservative on the attack, but they pressed Italy very high on defense, and quite a few times Italy struggled to even get the ball out to their midfielders, never mind mount an attack. I thought Croatia played, at least in that way, with great energy in the first half, particularly early in the first half.

But you also can't count on them being eliminated.

If they lose today 0-1, they will be better than the group A third place finisher. That means all 4 of the other group's third place finishers would need to come in ahead of Italy to go through, which is theoretically possible, but Italy has probably done enough. If they concede another, it's a different story.
