I haven't spent much time looking at Carlos Mendoza before, is there a thing where baseball managers sharing a city start to look like each other?

Iglesias is getting interviewed thanking the fans and the team travel secretary, I will always love that kid.

I'm sure a cross-country flight is going to work wonders on Chris Sale's back

THERE'S the Sale we all know and love; lights out during season, now he can't go in round one.

So glad they traded him, good riddance.
Well he did really help the Sox get into the playoffs in 2018 and also pretty much vanished down the stretch. I'd still have taken that. Just get in. Who the hell knows who will look like Pedro Martinez for 2 or 3 playoff games before they revert back to their middling average MLB pitching selves?

Very true.

Much like the NHL where you can go far in the playoffs with a hot goalie, same for MLB, ride a hot pitcher or hitter to a WS win.

Sale gonna Sale.

For me I think it's:

1A & 1B. Detroit // Cleveland (this Guardians team is really fun and I like JoRam)
3. Kansas City
4. Baltimore
...
...
...
5. Houston
...
...
...
...
...
(beneath the surface of the earth)
...
...
6. NY
Yeah, it's a log scale for sure. I want NYY 1/10 as much as I want the Astros, which is 1/10 as much as I want Cleveland, and at that point, I just haven't watched many other teams play this year, so it's mostly a combination of rooting for underdogs and what teams were in the day.

Watching teams consistently go the opposite way makes me so much more frustrated about what we watched the Red Sox bats do the second half of this season.

Totally. I haven't seen much of the Royals, and the Orioles wouldn't really bother me -- I know a couple long suffering Orioles fans.

As long as the Astros and Yankees don't win, I would be fine with any other team winning. And while I'm sure this will prove wrong, it feels like this year the best teams are in the NL -- Dodgers, Phillies, Brewers, Padres, surging Mets.

Astros must have drank too many 45's before the game. Or maybe Skubal is that good. Domination
