I'll say Game 2. Braves sure did tempt the Baseball Gods but it appears they won't be snake bitten. The headline coming out of this, insane game 1 aside, is will Sale pitch tomorrow or not.
And still almost beat it out!Nimmo taking a light stroll down the line.
I honestly thought this was a dodge to save him for the playoffs. But Chris Frail strikes again!
THERE'S the Sale we all know and love; lights out during season, now he can't go in round one.
Well he did really help the Sox get into the playoffs in 2018 and also pretty much vanished down the stretch. I'd still have taken that. Just get in. Who the hell knows who will look like Pedro Martinez for 2 or 3 playoff games before they revert back to their middling average MLB pitching selves?THERE'S the Sale we all know and love; lights out during season, now he can't go in round one.
So glad they traded him, good riddance.
no but Sale’s injury might be the genesis of their downfall, it’s a pityI'll say Game 2. Braves sure did tempt the Baseball Gods but it appears they won't be snake bitten.
Very true.Well he did really help the Sox get into the playoffs in 2018 and also pretty much vanished down the stretch. I'd still have taken that. Just get in. This is allowed now?Tiggers up 3-0 now. This is exciting. Guys who get hits with risp!
Strauss logo will be on all the helmets for the postseason. What’s with the ads on batting helmets? Yuck.
For me I think it's:This is my AL rooting order:
6. NY
5. Houston
4. Cleveland
3. Baltimore
2. Kansas City
1. Detroit
Yeah, it's a log scale for sure. I want NYY 1/10 as much as I want the Astros, which is 1/10 as much as I want Cleveland, and at that point, I just haven't watched many other teams play this year, so it's mostly a combination of rooting for underdogs and what teams were in the day.For me I think it's:
1A & 1B. Detroit // Cleveland (this Guardians team is really fun and I like JoRam)
3. Kansas City
4. Baltimore

I don’t remember what Cuellar pitched like except that he kind of had ownage on the Red Sox.Valdez reminds me a lot of Mike Cuellar, minus the screwball.

It's pretty good ice cream, though.boycott Strauss
I’m not joking
You should start a thread. I don't remember discussing that. They said Pedro Martinez had a really good changeup. Well, duh!
Late tuning into this game thread. Did I miss something? You should start a thread. I don't remember discussing that.
Nope. E5 wanted me to post that. Blame him.Late tuning into this game thread. Did I miss something?
Totally. I haven't seen much of the Royals, and the Orioles wouldn't really bother me -- I know a couple long suffering Orioles fans.Yeah, it's a log scale for sure. I want NYY 1/10 as much as I want the Astros, which is 1/10 as much as I want Cleveland, and at that point, I just haven't watched many other teams play this year, so it's mostly a combination of rooting for underdogs and what teams were in the day.
Apparently they just make cargo pants. I guess I'm inadvertently in on the boycott!boycott Strauss

He's going to be the unanimous AL Cy Young winner.Astros must have drank too many 45's before the game. Or maybe Skubal is that good. Domination
