Mets will probably go with a nothing pitcher in the 2nd game, but, you can only go with so much of a B-Team with the roster limitations that teams have today. Also, that's the kind of loss that it could be really easy to come out super flat in the second game if you are the Braves. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Mets win game 2 as well.

And you have the fringe guys on the Mets extra motivated to try to make the postseason roster.

Rooting for the Mets to sweep, mostly for my ARI fan buddy who has been an emotional wreck the past few weeks watching this.

Watching this on SNY out of NY. This announcing team is tremendous, just a pleasure to listen to. From pace, voices, information transmitted, analysis, everything. I can't say enough about how impressive they are.

I've grown tired of most things about NESN being second rate, mickey mouse. There is no reason why everything associated with the Red Sox shouldn't be, or at least strive to be, excellent. I can understand that the on field product takes time, but everything off the field, from broadcasts to field conditions to services, etc, should be top of the line. A market like Boston should have that. No acceptable reason why not. Avarice is not an acceptable reason for mediocrity.
that crew is the best local crew in baseball.

"From 0-5 to OMG" - Mets announcer

OK, 0-5 is nothing in APril baseball. But sure.
Some context on that.

(For those who can't see the tweet: "Nobody in the ballpark. 0-5. Hitless through 7. It feels like rock bottom." - Gary Cohen on the state of the Mets. A reminder that this is game 6 of 162. The Mets still have 156 games left to play, and boy, are things getting late early in Flushing...

This may have been touched upon earlier in the thread, but to me, the AB of the game (more accurately, the AB of the Mets's season) was the 11 pitch AB by Taylor to lead off the 8th. Remarkable AB. Against Schwellenbach, who had never gone 8 before, and was pitching a tremendous ballgame, this drove up his pitch count, and with the subsequent double it drove Schwellenbach out of the game and the rest is history. Lindor will get all the credit (and he deserves all of the praise), but Taylor's AB does not deserve to be overlooked. Just a great, great AB.
