I imagine he is just taking "baby steps" after healing his leg, but I don't like what I see. He has moving parts all over the place (his back foot slides away from the plate during his swing, which is a bit alarming), and a very long swing, along with a lack of balance. Let's just hope it is because he is not 100% physically, because if his swing technique doesn't improve, he is going to have a very hard time facing professional hitter who will know how to exploit his weaknesses.

This is almost certainly a baby steps situation. The back foot thing was totally unnatural and I'm guessing it's some kind of compensation for weakness in the right ankle. In that video he looks very unsure of planting the right foot—he kind of slides it down rather than a real plant and could easily throw off his balance leading to the back foot movement. It doesn't look anything like his pre-injury in-game lefty swing.
