In all seriousness. I’m at a bar with no audio. Did he just fuck real bad or was there something that caused that?
Bryson fucked up real bad.
His caddy tried to warn him not to hit the hero second shot. He tried anyway and put the ball on 17. Then, after getting a tremendous break by being granted relief (still not sure why) he hit about an inch behind the ball and chunked it in the water.
So funny they said he could lay up from where his angle was or he could try to get there. Of course he’s not laying up and he took the drop and proceeded to hit it in the water. Or more succinctly
Not really rooting for him but that was an impressive round from Scottie. He struggled and then bounced back to put himself back in the lead
He was in the painted off crosswalk on 17, all of which across the course are optional free relief to either side as long as it's no closer to the hole.
All good, they explained it very quickly via audio when he was dropping, and I was equally as confused for why he got relief.
Crazy stat- after three rounds, Scottie has hit the exact same amount of greens as Vijay Singh. One is in first place, the other is dead last.
I got Ray Floyd Jr.s masters email real early on Thursday morning and was only able to place some bets because of the delay. He had the following to say about Morikawa - guys on the "inside" say his game is really good and he found something last week. I’ve always liked morikawa so I put a sizable bet on him at +5000. Today is going to be fun.
Not gonna lie, it got a little dusty in here watching him walk through the crowd with the announcers just letting the moment breathe. Really good job by the broadcast there.
I wish they’d compare driving distances for them. Wait, Morikawa outdrove Scheffler on the first hole?

In this instance, he missed a pretty short birdie putt instead of going into the drink.
Leaderboard is getting extremely tight. First Masters since 2019 where there were 5-6 guys in it by 4pm on Sunday. Except in 2019, it was like 11am because they started early because of the weather.
He fell back a bit yesterday but got right back to tied, I believe it was, with an eagle. Rooting for Morikawa, Berkeley grad.
