You didn't even mention maybe the best prospect, Bleis.
We're likely going to have to wait a bit longer for his arrival, but yes the more the merrier.

Edit: I'm not as down on Dave O'Brien as many here are, but I wouldn't mind seeing a young Mike Monaco on the PBP and Middlebrooks getting more run as this new era begins. Does anyone have any idea as to how long OB's contract runs? I haven't been able to find anything.

Lineup for today's game at Dunedin is a good one if you want to see some of what the future might hold. Not on NESN but on MLB Network. 1pm

Valdez 2B
Rafaela CF
Palka 1B
Goodrum DH
Scott C
Crook LF
Hamilton SS
Sogard 3B
Bleis RF

Murphy P

Has mlb abandoned the rule that at least 3 major league players have to travel with the team for these games?

How do they define "major leaguer" in this context? Because Valdez, Rafaela, and Hamilton are all on the 40-man roster so technically they could be considered major leaguers even though none of them have any service time yet.

I think I’ve decided that Alek Manoah is the player I like the least in Major League Baseball (after, like, the various domestic abusers…). Tattoo of his own name on his arm? WTF.

When Manoah got pulled, he was losing. Now he is back in and winning. He won't get a decision, but he should be 1-1 today.

I didn’t know you could be pulled and then go back in, I’ll be honest
It's a spring training thing only. The Sox did it with Pivetta the other day. They don't want guys throwing too many pitches in one inning, so they pull them to finish the inning, then send them back out to finish getting their work in.

Pivetter pivettering in the 4th. single (out at 2nd)-triple-single-single. But Ks the last guy to finish ahead 2-1. Pretty good al in all. 4IP/4H1R 5K.
