Yeah, the PGA of America started allowing them a few years ago. You don’t see them much.
Yep. Distance allowed, but not elevation. They can obviously zero in on the pin but the pros are thinking about several other yardages on every shot.

GPS are allowed too but I don't think they're accurate enough for the pros. IIRC the best you're going to get there is +/- 2-3 yards, which is an awful lot of inaccuracy for these guys.

Edit: and yes... it looks miserable playing in this today.

There is a long way to go but there are some cool exemptions in play for Block.

Edit: He is T9. T15 or better gets him an invite to next years tournament. If he dreams big a T4 or better gets him to Augusta.

If Suh makes a bogey on 18 (drove it into the right rough), Block goes out in the 4th tk last group tomorrow with Rory.

LIV players again making a statement. Largely because of Brooks but then again his lighter schedule probably has helped keep him healthy.

Disclaimer: Not a LIV apologist. Haven’t watched more than 30 min of combined.

Lee Hodges, the dude whose ball dropped in the hole at 17 after about 30 seconds of hanging on the edge, was given a 1 stroke penalty for waiting too long. Jesus.

"Hodges was deemed to have violated Rule 13.3a of the Rules of Golf, which states that a player is allowed “reasonable” time to reach the hole and 10 further seconds to wait and see if the ball drops in."

The one stroke penalty isn't severe. It's like saying it was not a made putt and he needed an extra stroke to hole it.

I had the golf on this morning on the side TV while playing Xbox. It feels like I've been watching for 12 hours.

Leaders haven't started yet. PGA Championship TV coverage is phenomenal.
