With pick 187 in the sixth round, the Patriots draft WR Kayshon Boutte from LSU. I love this pick. He was once a projected first-round pick. This year, he was projected to go in Round 4 - but there have been some issues.

The #Patriots have selected WR Kayshon Boutte with the 187th overall pick. Boutte's draft stock plummeted due to his 2022 season and a below-average combine. However, Boutte has legit NFL talent if the effort is there. Real upside here.

From what I’m seeing, it’s all about his attitude. Seems like a good home run swing in the 6th. If he’s a bum he’ll just get cut. But if he sees the light there is legit NFL talent there.

29 inch vert is not elite
Watching the highlights seems almost impossible to me he wouldn't crack 30
yeah his whole combine didn’t make sense. you can watch him on film just running away from Emmanuel Forbes (who ran a 4.3) to take a short pass to the house. idk if he was still hurt or what.

Great they got Baringer! I've seen him at the very top of best punter lists. From one of them:

Bryce Baringer has one of the biggest legs in college football. Baringer led the nation this year in both gross and net punt average. Despite only forcing fair catches on 20% of his punts, he didn’t give returners anything to do with it. His 49.0 punting average stands out, and so too does has solid 22-to-4 ratio of inside 20’s and touchbacks. Baringer is capable of consistently putting of 50/5.0, meaning 50+ yards of distance and over 5.0 seconds of hangtime. He’s a little less experienced than some of the other punters, but not to a significant degree. He earned 1st team All-America honors this season for a reason, and has a chance to be the 1st punter drafted following a strong performance at the Senior Bowl.

Baringer wears glasses on the field. I don't recall whether the Pats have ever had anyone who wore glasses while they played.
