I was so blinded by not wanting the rockets to win…this kind of sucks too. Spurs seem to have a horseshoe up their ass

Well, yeah, isn't a rider's foot and thus the spurs parallel to the horse's ass?

Fantastic for the Spurs though. To go from The General to the French. But no white flag here. Incredible, best case for this kid's development.

Glad it's not Detroit or Houston. Portland jumping up a couple could put them a significant level up in terms of players.

Charlotte I guess has to go Scoot and figure out if he and Ball can play together

Silver Spring, Maryland
Guess that’s why Pop stuck around
Probably the best place for him. SAS may be smart enough to NOT push him too quickly. His physique reminds me of guys like Holmgren and R Willians.
The type that is liable to get busted up if not handled carefully in his first few years (while he builds strength and durabiity)

But damn, wtf with SA luck? Though in this case they didn't tank for just one year.

Scoot and Ball would actually fit together pretty well. Both have long wingspans. However, Givony’s mock (and Givony is the best in the business) has them taking Brandon Miller.
And Portland absolutely doesn’t need Scoot…

They would be better off trading the pick than drafting an undersized PG (unless they plan on trading Ball). They're better off with Miller. He's a little old for a freshman, but he's going to be a great wing. And 6'9" wings are the currency of the modern game.

RW and Holmgren have different physiques

I was sad for Dame for a moment too, but this is probably better if he wants to win in Portland. Victor's probably not a championship piece just yet (right?!), and now Portland can trade for veterans to contribute right away.

Not that I want him gone at all, but if JB doesn't want to re-sign, the C's could get a haul from Portland if they want to package JB/PP.

RW was kind of gangly when he showed up, and he was handled carefully the first year or so (still is!).
Holmgren isn't gangly, he's sickly. He refused to be weighed at the draft combine, which tells me that he was under his listed weight... of 190 lbs. Robert Williams, coming out of college, was probably 50-60 lbs heavier and four inches shorter.

Lillard is going to be 33 before the start of the season. Players his size don’t age well. I wouldn’t rule out moving on from him.
Portland is going to be sold at some point, likely to Phil Knight. I think he'd be fine eating Lillard's massive contract to make sure he has a star when he takes over
