Overall: He isn’t good in coverage and he won’t be a scheme fit for everyone but if you want a downhill attacker and you like to blitz or rush your ILBs this is your guy. When he is attacking downhill he either blows up linemen or avoids them. Should be a ST demon. I don’t think he is a starter but should be a role-player. He might start - his size though is an issue. 6.49-6.5.

I love Ivan Pace Jr. I just did him this weekend.
Good to know. That's what he looked like from the few minutes of YouTube scouting I did. Thanks for the much more informed insight.

around the way
PFN
25. Flowers WR
46. Darnell Wright OT
107. Kuntz TE
117. Jammie Robinson S
135. Mohamoud Diabate LB
184. Jaxon Player DT
187. YaYa Diaby DE
192. Dorian Thompson-Robinson QB
210. Ali Gaye DE
245. Bumper Pool LB

Also picked up 2024 NYG 1st and 2424 NYG 2nd (was a fair trade)

PFF
19. JSN WR
46. Dawand Jones T
55. Antonio Johnson S (Traded 50/117/192/258 for 55/81)
76. Schoonmaker TE (reach, I know, but I like him)
81. Garrett Williams CB
110. Moro Ojomo DT (traded 107/135/210 for 110/113)
113. Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson CB
138. Yasir Abdullah DE

FS
14. JSN WR
46. Darnell Washington TE
76. Henry To'oto'o LB
107. Jakorian Bennett CB
117. Antonio Johnson S
135. Ali Gaye DE
184. Carter Warren T
187. Moro Ojomo DT
192. Cameron Mitchell CB
210. Kaevon Merriweather S
224. Zack Kuntz TE

I hate all of them, although the randomness is awesome. During my FS draft, Richardson was still available at 14, but there were no decent OT available whenever my turn came up. Fun exercise regardless.

Five Week Out Draft:
PFN:
14- traded to LAC for 21 and 2024 1st (yeah they overpaid).
21- traded to NO with 245 for 29 and 71
29- traded to LAR with 135 for 36 and 69
36- Darnell Wright OT- TENN
46- Bijan Robinson RB- Texas
69- Sydney Brown- S- Illinois
71- Adetomiwa Adebawore- ED- Northwestern
76- AT Perry- WR- Wake Forest
107- Darius Rush-CB- South Carolina
184- Payne Durham-TE- Purdue
187- Colby Wooden-DT- Auburn
192- Cameron Mitchell-CB-Northwestern
210- Antonio Malfi- OG- UCLA

What a dumb draft.

PFF
14- Traded with 258 to JAX for 24, 56 and a 2024 6th
24- Broderick Jones OT UGA
46- Dawand Jones OT OSU
56- Darnell Washington TE UGA
76- Hendon Hooker QB UT
107- Karl Brooks- ED- Bowling Green
117- KJ Henry-ED/LB- Clemson
135- Bryce Ford-Wheaton- WR- WVU
184- Antonio Mafi- OG- UCLA
187- Ventrell Miller-LB- UF
192- Quindell Johnson-S-Memphis
210- Ethan Evans-P- Wingate

Weird board fall, CBs and WRs flew off the board, as did the receiving TEs.

WOuld be a pretty funny outcome.

Grabbed two Illinoisans to bolster the secondary with a lucky Witherspoon dip. Traded #46, #135, and next year's 3rd for Jeudy. The OT depth signings give Duncan some time to develop. Ojomo was a Shrine bowl standout. I don't know anything about Zavala other than some guys thought he was the biggest combine invite snub--sounds like good depth at guard.

I might have gone differently with the first two picks but this whole scenario is close to perfect IMO. Jeudy plus Ojomo, Martin, Zavala, Gray and Moody. I think Ojomo can be developed, Martin could be a FS the Illinois thing makes me think Eugene Wilson more than Witherspoon though, don’t know why, Zavala could be a diamond, Gray is an underrated running back and Moody is needed. I could see grabbing him at 192.

Buffalo went up to get Witherspoon. I thought it was an overpay, but the calculator said it was "likely accepted" without a percentage even.

Don't know a lot about Steen and whether he'd be a fit for the Pats, but another similar OT around there is fine too. Same with Coburn.

Edit: Arizona traded up for Darnell Wright. Washington was scooped at #45.

Regarding Coburn, I found this video from a homer's perspective that seemed fairly objective to me and a decent breakdown of his time at Texas. Has a good amount of video too.

I'd think he'd be worth a flyer around the late 4th/early 5th as this guy speculates.

Looks like the full PFF mock is locked down to subscribers only. Non subs get 2 rounds and no trades.
Sad isn't it? Was fun while it lasted. I've tried a few using PFN's simulator that is still freely accessible. The UI isn't as user friendly on mobile, but, after a few, it gets easier. The sharing of screenshots isn't as easy either. Not sure as to the trade values or the draft board rankings, but the trade proposals seem fairly realistic.

I think I'd be pretty happy with the way this one turned out and picking up a second next year. Not sure on McClendon, but he was one of only a few of the "higher" rated OLs available at the time, his Georgia career was pretty impressive, and he's supposedly a "high football-IQ" guy.

I am very interested in the Jake Witt takes and completely on board with targeting him. How high does he go though?

4 weeks out, less than a month:

PFN
14- traded with 245 for 29 and 40
29- Darnell Wright- OT- TENN
40- Darnell Washington TE- UGA
46- traded for 49 and a 2024 PIT 4th
49- Jack Campbell- LB- IOWA
76- Julius Brents-CB- K-State
107- Darius Rush-CB- South Carolina
117- Wanya Morris- OT- Oklahoma
135- Michael Wilson- WR- Stanford
184- Will Mallory- TE- Miami
187- Ja'Von Hicks- S- Cincinnati
192- Ronnie Bell- WR- Michigan
210- Camerun Peoples- RB- App St.

Generally like this draft, wish a WR fell differently in the 2nd/3rd rounds, but good combo of need/BPA

PFF- not paying

Fanspeak returns- Hallum board (most recent)
14- Jaxson Smith-Njigba WR- OSU
46- Drew Sanders LB Arkansas
76- Darnell Washington TE UGA
107- Luke Wypler C/OG OSU
117- Jordan Battle- S- Alabama
135- Kayshon Boutte WR LSU
184- Robert Beal Jr.- Edge- UGA
187- Payne Durham- TE- Purdue
192- DOntayvion Wicks- WR- Virginia
210- Myles Brooks- CB- LA Tech
224- Dalton Wagner- OT- Arkansas

Early value is good, forgot I took JSN otherwise I would pass on Boutte. Overall though don't love it. Shows the drop in OT after Rd 1.

NEW CONTENDER- https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/mock-draft-simulator
I did no trades sadly, all the offers were insane (like paying 2-3 times too much) and I didn't feel like figuring out trades by hand.
14-Jaxson Smith-Njigba WR- OSU
46-Adetomiwa Adebawore Edge- Northwestern
76- Jack Campbell- LB- Iowa
107-Garrett Williams- CB- Syracuse
117- Wanya Morris- OT- Oklahoma
135-Emil Ekiyor Jr. OG/C Alabama
184- Brandon Joseph- S- Notre Dame
187-Ali GAye- Edge- LSU
192- Bryce Ford-Wheaton- WR- WVU
210- Will MAllory- TE- Miami
245- Robert Beal Jr. Edge- UGA

Well, well, well this would be something. Quite an infusion of potential talent and athleticism. Maybe one too many OL picks, but I thought Bradford was BPA at the time.

I think Carter could really fall. He already had some whispers about not loving the game and not being a consistently hard worker, a guy who could and often did dominate on talent alone.

So the poor showing at his pro day plus the tragic lack of judgement throw up some major red flags. Teams will really have to assess the chance that he busts.

yeah, I don't think Carter falls to 14, but could happen. The trade up there is silly though, off by probably a 2024 2nd or so worth of value... which shows how bad PFF is at trades that it wasn't an A+, usually trading into the 1st takes a premium, but even on regular value that's a pretty significant win

Darnell Wright OT 1-4 on everyone’s board (1 on mine) is a D. Yeah that tracks!

Isn’t Wright close to a guaranteed top 20 pick now? I’m a Bucs fan and I know there are pretty heavy rumblings that he would be their choice at 19

He’s up to 20 on the PFF board too, the simulator just doesn’t keep pace with those changes for whatever reason…

guaranteed... probably not, but he's not getting out of the 1st for sure, I;ve seen him projected anywhere from 11 to 28, mostly late teens early 20s though

I’ve been using Fanspeak On the Clock https://fanspeak.com/ontheclock-nfl-mock-draft-simulator/
If you preview the board before you choose it you can get an idea if it’s actual useful. Some of them are garbage. I tend to use their peoples boards. They’re mostly consistent.

I’m talking myself into Kancey. The dline needs someone to scare offenses. I went what I thought was BPA in the first 3 rounds then targeted positions/players from there.

I am seeing a Punter mocked to the Pats in so many 7 round drafts. I never see a FG kicker in there. Isn’t a FG kicker as much, if not more, not that they signed a P, of a need as a P. Are they assuming they are going to get a FA?

I kinda like it and don't mind the Gibbs pick. He's really good. And I don't think the likely second round tackles (like Bergeron or Duncan) are likely to be all that much better than a depth guy like Tyler Steen. Gibbs is about as sure a thing as you can get in the draft to an Aaron Jones/Kamara type and upgrades your offense immediately.

I'd be very disappointed if a RB is taken at 46 over a Tackle.
Totally get it, but the OTs avail didn’t wow me, and Gibbs is such a weapon that I think BOB could extend beyond just “a running back” or James White 2.0. Having said that, there’s NO WAY they do this, esp if they’ve taken a WR in the 1st round.

THREE WEEKS LEFT

PFN:
14: Traded with 245 to NO for 29 and 40
29: Traded with 184 to KC for 31 and 95 2024 4th
31: Bijan Robinson RB Texas
40: Zay Flowers WR Boston College
46: Traded with 210 to Chicago for 53 and 103
53: Jack Campbell LB Iowa
76: Jaylon Jones CB Texas A&M
95: Carter Warren OT Pitt
103: A.T. Perry WR Wake Forrest
117: Zacch Pickens DL South Carolina
122: Traded with 217 to CLE for 126 and 190
126: Myles Brooks CB La Tech
135: Olusegun Oluwatimi OL Michigan
187 Payne Durham TE Purdue
190 Michael Turk P Oklahoma

Well that one got weird. Feel like I'd accept not getting a OT til Warren if it meant getting that talent. WEEI would be happy.

Fanspeak: (SHoup board)
14: Anthony Richardson QB Florida
46: Jack Campbell LB Iowa
76: Jahmyr Gibbs RB Alabama
107: Marvin Mimis WR Oklahoma
117: Luke Wypler OC OSU
135: Adetomiwa Adebawore Edge Northwestern (LOL)
184: Will Mallory TE Miami
187: Ja'Von Hicks S Cincinnati
192: Ivan Pace Jr. LB Cincinnati
210: Andrei Iosivas WR, Princeton
245: Michael Turk P, Oklahoma

Could not get a feel for this one, but yeah I generally like it outside the OT issue.

NFL MockDraftDatabase
14: traded to WAS for 16, and 2024 1st, 3rd, 4th and 6th. (massive overpay, but I allowed it because I thought it was for CJ Stroud, instead they took Paris Johnson?)
16: CJ Stroud QB OSU
46: Jahmyr Gibbs RB ALabama
76: Sydney Brown S Illinois
107: Jaylon Jones CB Texas A&M
117: Jonathan Mingo WR, Mississippi
135: Wanya Morris OT, Oklahoma
184: Luke Schoonmaker TE Michigan
187: Bryce Ford-Wheaton WR West Virginia
192: Ivan Pace JR. LB Cinci
210: Jaxson Kirkland OT Washington
245:Alex Forsyth OG Oregon

LOL. So yeah CJ Stroud? one note, I took Kirkland because I didn't know Carter Warren was on the board, if I had I would have taken him there.

While we're at it. 631656316863169

I think I'd be happy with this. After Round 1, I basically attempted to draft BPA and then some potential projects in later rounds. I waffled on Torrence given the current make-up of the OL, but could he replace Onwenu? What type of trade value does Onwenu have?

Do Ika double teams unleash Barmore and Campbell to destroy OLs and QBs?

Sorry, I didn't track the details of the trade transactions.

3 of the first 4 picks on tight ends when we have Gesicki and Henry?
This was just for fun. But I actually wouldn’t be shocked if they took 2 TEs. Gesicki and Henry are gone next year.

Yeah, I think they likely take at least 1 TE for a couple reasons:
1. They don't have a TE on the roster who is a plus blocker and any kind of receiving threat
2. Gesicki and Henry both on 1 year, and TEs usually don't breakout until year 2.
3. This is generally considered a strong TE draft.
4. Bill doesn't seem to really view Gesicki as a real TE, sees him more as a big WR

Fun comp... Gesicki is basically a bigger and across the board better athlete than N'Keal Harry... plus he gets separation.

There is nothing fun about N’Keal Harry.

I think with mocks it’s about players and positions you like and where you think they ought to go. You guys are killing it too. It’s nice to see this subforum booming.

Kincaid and Schoonmaker is the best combo you can get and would make them DEADLY in 12.

@j44thor my heart can’t take that kind of hope. He’s my 2023 Lamar where I’m buying his jersey and following whatever team drafts him. Please don’t let it be the Colts.
