Pardon my ignorance, but I have never heard of Brenton Doyle in my life. Don’t recall him from that series this year at all!
Me neither, a rookie who only started 118 games this year and had a .593 OPS.Pardon my ignorance, but I have never heard of Brenton Doyle in my life. Don’t recall him from that series this year at all!
Wow!I have brought him up before, go check out his fielding page over at Savant. The dude ever learns to hit (he hit pretty okay in the minors) and he is going to be a monster.

Yeah, I first heard about Doyle towards the end of the season in some pieces talking about the awards. The defensive metrics for him are off the charts.I have brought him up before, go check out his fielding page over at Savant. Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune.Alright, who gave Chris Martin a 5th vote?
I like it. Awards voting has become so boring and Martin was awesome.Alright, who gave Chris Martin a 5th vote?

So some fans will go crazy about stuff like this but I've always welcomed an otherwise meaningless vote for guys that are deserving of some recognition. It would happen quite frequently with HOF voting especially when the ballot wasn't so jam packed with steroid guys.I like it. Awards voting has become so boring and Martin was awesome.
Better hope nobody throws a meaningless vote to Sale next year.So some fans will go crazy about stuff like this but I've always welcomed an otherwise meaningless vote for guys that are deserving of some recognition. Just don't look as to who is second.Acuña Jr. wins NL MVP
Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com was impressed by Dever’s defense.Devers got a 9th Placevote
Surprised he didn't get any firstsJust don't look as to who is second.
Didja see the season #1 had?Surprised he didn't get any firsts
Basically it always goes to a closer, 19 of 20 now. Ironically Devin Williams was the only exception, in 2020.Felix Bautista beats Chris Martin for AL reliever of the year, which I think is defensible but only cause he pitched 20% more innings.
Devin Williams takes it in the NL.
