Koepka said in his post-round interview that he expects to play in the "other three" majors. I know he's a past champion, but does he really think he's going to be in the PGA?
Why wouldn't he?

No I didn’t mean to imply it was easy just wanted to understand the approximate distance
Since this never actually got answered, an 18 hole round is ~6-8 miles. These guys did at least 12 miles of brutal hills today. That place is exhausting to walk.

Thanks. I guess I was way off on 18 holes. I was thinking 7k yards is 21k feet so ~4 miles, and of course they do more walking than that between holes, around the green, etc.

I mean, I have to imagine that was as much the reason for Tiger pulling out as how it would affect his golf game. But is it really that bad for healthy 29 year old men?

When was the last time you went on a 12 mile hike? How about 6-8 miles 5 days in a row? It's a lot, no matter your age. It's not climbing Everest or anything, but it's pretty exhausting. After a few days at Bandon I always feel like I could sleep for 2 days straight. Some of that is a 4 day hangover, but a lot of it is just walking 18+ every day for multiple days in a row.

Not to mention when they aren't walking they are engaging basically all of the muscles in their core, back and arms to swing at a golf ball.

Man, imagine what it must’ve been like for Phil in that clubhouse waiting to see if Rahm would slip. That kind of tension and anxiety must be insane. What else even compares to that?

And the players also don't really seem to sit down very much.
They all looked pretty beaten up by the 72nd.

Final round time was just under 5 hours for Rahm and Koepka (due to Cantlay). Apparently Hovland was walking ahead of Cantlay at times and played out on 13 while Cantlay was still walking down the fairway short of the creek. Augusta really needed to step and do something.

Have to think that Hovland's struggles toward the end were at least a little impacted by the pairing

I've never considered Cantlay fast but I don't recall him being as egregiously slow as he was yesterday either. I would call him deliberate but maybe that's just a nice way of saying he's slow. Brooks and Rahm also had to play with the amateur Bennett on Saturday/Sunday morning and he is also on the slow side of things, and that goes back to criticism during the US Am Bennett won not just at the Masters. In some ways I think Brooks needs to slow down a bit. He plays so fast that he ends up getting impacted by slow play around him more than anyone else. When he is 2nd to play from the fairway they cut to him and he's already pulled the trigger. Take a breath, guy.

NLU had Cantlay on their podcast a week or two ago and he was pretty brutalt Easily the most dull and bland of all the pro's they've interviewed. Just no personality whatsoever. Maybe it's a shell in front of cameras or behind a microphone, but yikes.

Damn -- maybe that's the same for me. But that is one email I always open immediately. I didn't see anything specific in my account on the ticketing website. Oh well.
That's what made me think I forgot. Normally I'd see the daily breakdown of how many tickets were requested and awarded for each of the days but there's nothing there for me this year. I also couldn't find my "application received" email that I would have received registering.

Yep - exact same for me. Though I did find my email confirmation from 2013.

My dad and bro got rejected yesterday. So i was holding out hope this delay was good thing… it was not.

Well, gone for my dad’s 70th and this year his 80th, he better stick around another 10 to bring that round bday luck.
