Ridiculous shot from Hovland at 10.

Has anyone kept track of 13? Anyone on in two?
It looks like they can get there and guys are trying. It's a little tough to tell based on the hole results this early because a bunch of the old dudes have gone through but just sampling of the more in-the-prime players are going for it. Reed went for it. Sergio went for it and dumped it into the creek. Gooch went for it and dumped it into the creek. Russell Henley layed up but he was the furthest away, about 265. Reed/Sergio/Gooch were in the 225-235 range.

Looking at the weather, I'm assuming the late/early tee times may have an advantage? If the rain comes with lightning in the PM then the afternoon guys tomorrow may be looking at playing 36 in 51 degrees with a ton of rain on Saturday.

Tiger has hit 11/15 greens so far but his closest approach (excluding the chip on 8 which was technically his approach) has been 13 feet on 6. Everything else has been 25+ feet away. Not going to make birdies consistently putting from that far out.

Edit: Well as I say that he rolls in a long one on 15 for a bird.

Brooks is -5 through 12, but just pulled his tee shot left on 13 and into the trees.

Closing bogey and Tiger shoots 74. Got a bit unlucky on 18, drove it too close to the bunker and didn't have a stance.

Brooks appears to take a penalty drop on 13 in the middle of the fairway. Not sure exactly how he ended up there, Trevor made a quick comment bout line of sight but didn't really elaborate. I thought if it was lost he had to go all the way back to the tee and if it was an unplayable it was either go back to the tee or a club length from where his first shot came to rest.

Edit: Apparently the tee shot landed in the hazard. I thought it was 2-club lengths from the red line, so I'm missing something.

I thought you could go back as far as you want on the line the ball entered the hazard?

Looked like it was more sideways than anything else. I'm sure it was fine, just kind of curious as to how he ended up where he did.

Also, from what I can tell, Brooks is the only LIV guy not wearing his LIV logo. Unless he's got it somewhat hidden.

You can keep the point of entry in line with the hole and go as far back as you want. With red stakes, you can also do 2 club lengths from point of entry.

Thanks. I guess I just didn't realize his tee shot had ended up way further ahead from where he dropped it, I was thinking it was more lateral than it really was.

Brooks is going to have a huge advantage tomorrow teeing off in the morning before the rain settles in.

Hovland and Rahm might get very wet or have lightning interruptions to deal with.
