I'm always somewhat surprised they don't just mark some of these areas OOB, and yeah I would assume that would be OOB on the course itself, he had to miss the fairway by 50+ yards.

I get it when they put stands basically abutting the greens they need to give relief. but relief down there seems wrong

Bradley and Rahm in the 2nd to last pair?

Man, who knew Morikowa dropped this far down. TV dropped him a couple hours ago

Yeah should be a great final day. Have to think anyone within 6-7 shots has a chance. If someone from the back can shoot 66 or so it’ll get interesting.

Sure, I guess, but hard to imagine a 66 tomorrow. I think someone finishes at, at least -2 tomorrow

Can we add golf to the thread title? There are many US Opens, and a lot of people who care about tennis (or whatever) may not care about golf or vice-versa.

So are we all pulling for Keegan? I had no idea his wife’s uncle was Carlton Fisk.

Zalatoris or Rory for me.

Things are much easier through the early pairs, a lot of red numbers out there so far. Should be a fun day with a lot of action.

Nothing is less stressful for a pro golfer than going out early on Sunday in a major. There is only upside, no pressure, just fun.

So I assume the leaders won't fare as well but the lack of wind definitely makes things much much much easier today.

Dumb question and OT but: Is there a place to stream this so I don't have to pat for a full month of YTTV or something just to get NBC?

Never mind, I just used a new account for a free YTTV trial

As does the overnight rain which has softened the greens noticeably, and likely slowed them a bit. that said I would think damp rough is likely harder to play from, but not sure.

Justin Leonard said it would take -6 to win,

True, but I was on 5 yesterday and nearly everyone was getting there +2 or worse already, regardless of positioning. Winds are calmer today and the rain has softened things up a bit, and on 18, there isn’t the huge headwind that was dumping everyone into the green side bunker. I think we’ll see some good rounds at the top as well.

Softened conditions is Rory music.

Really don’t care who wins. Pulling for Rory the most but they are all good dudes and stories. Glad there isn’t a LIVer in there.

Also I don’t think it’s that much much softer. They didn’t get a ton of rain and the wind will keep firming them up.

Saturday is usually the carnage setup for the USGA then they make Sunday’s a bit more getable.

No on course reporter following Rory and Burns. World #3 and world #9, 3 shots back on a Sunday of a major.
I mean, how do you not follow Rory?

Did Rory request not to be followed so he wouldn't be mushed? Because it doesn't make any sense.

You’d hope they are front loading everything to show the golf but if yesterday is anything to go by it’s going to suck. The NLU guys were rightfully brutal in their criticism last night of the coverage.
I thought I read somewhere the last hour will be commercial free
