Morikawa is obviously a heck of a player but has some Spieth 2016 Masters vibes where he’s not 100% confident or comfortable with his swing. We’ll see if it holds up but I think I like. Rory, Rahm and Scottie a bit more. Who knows what happens to Dahmen, but he’s a good dude to pull for.

Zalatoris hasn’t gotten much attention from NBC this week but he’s T13 and 3 shots back. Unreal major record, 8 starts 5 top 10’s.

It is so funny how they will cut to someone totally out of contention and then act like the great shot they hit, which you knew was going to happen, was amazing.

"here's Cameron Tringale, who we haven't shown at all the past 3 days, playing an impossible hole, no way he hits this. . . .oh wait, it's got a chance, it's IN. Nobody saw that coming."

#2 seems impossible

Edit;”and after an absolutely great approach shot by world #1 that we didn’t bother to show you, here he is tapping in for birdie”

Morikawa staring at a double on 4.

Gotta like where Will Z is if he can get it to the clubhouse. I think -3 or -2 is probably the overnight lead.

I can't believe the shot Rahm is going to hit here

he got it far enough that he is out of jail

Scheffler is nails.

And I agree with Zomp. If Scheffler ruins the drama tomorrow like he did in the SECOND round with the Masters, I will hate him forever. Which would suck, because I do like him.

Do you? I do not. He’s just boring. Plus the super religious things freaks me out.

His play is so solid, it's admirable. But I will confess I didn't know about the religious thing. Can't say I love a zealot.

I like Willy Z. I'm pulling for him.

Schefty looking to lose a stroke here. Drama alive?

I have a wedding I have to leave for at 6:10pm. On a sports related note, Dan Patrick was at the ceremony and I happened to be sitting a row in front of him and I shared a peace be with you with him and that was awesome.

But I am not really happy I'm going to miss the last 8-9 holes. But at least it's not Sunday.

Tomorrow is likely going to be interesting which is all we can hope for. Cold , raw, maybe a bit damp, Winds around 10-15 mph.

Wonder if Keegan will end up in the final group

Zalatoris is at least a real person. Has some personality, and don't seem like he was cloned in some joyless PGA tour factory

Rory seeing all of Brookline today.
I just emailed a couple of my former teammates to say that I'm seeing a *lot* more shots played today from deep and dark places I remember hitting from at TCC - and many more bad shots that look like the shots I hit from there. (That said, I don't think I was ever as far left off of Primrose #1 tee as Rory was today!)

I can’t overstate how windy it is today. It’s been swirling all day and the gusts have picked up significantly since the leaders teed off. I am expecting tomorrow to be more of the same, and the cold should make for a nice wrinkle too. But yeah, there’s just nowhere to hide out there today and the wind is repping straight chaotic evil the past few hours.

Given the way the cream has risen to or near the top of the leaderboard, I'd say it's more chaotic good than chaotic evil.
I think that’s kind of the standard in majors though. No-names float up on Thursday and Friday, with Saturday pressure typically hanging them out to dry. I was a little surprised Rory didn’t make more a move today, but he’s still in striking distance tomorrow.
