No AFC East competitors headed overseas. That's a shame.

Edit: In fact nine of the ten traveling teams (all save Broncos) are from the NFC. It's almost like they planned it that way.

Are those games, and the Thursday night AP games at least picked up and available over the air in local markets?, or a free stream for local markets? The creep towards making more inventory available to less people seems to be accelerating.
But the NFL will tell you it's all about the fans.

Not sure about the ESPN+ game but according to this Prime games will be available for the local markets.

It’s worth noting that as of the 2022 football season, Amazon will be the exclusive home of Thursday Night Football. The games will no longer be shown on FOX. Viewers in the local markets of participating teams will still be able to watch the games on local channels. All other viewers will need to view the games on Amazon Prime Video. This new arrangement could lead to a bounty of new NFL content on the streaming service, so keep your eyes peeled for newly announced shows in the next few years.

I just want to find out when the Pats are headed to Vegas. We have a group of about 20 planning on going.
I'm similarly waiting for the AZ game. My son begins college in AZ this year and I plan to fly down and do the game with him, provided its a weekend he is there

I mean less than ten years ago there were no Thursday night games other than Thanksgiving and no Sunday morning games so you got to see 4 or 5 games a week unless you had Sunday Ticket. 151 million people have Amazon Prime. This is more football from where I sit.

Thanks for that. I would be royally pissed if I were a Pats fan in the market who didn’t have AP, and couldn’t watch one of only 17 games. And it’s still shitty business for out of market fans in that boat.
The NFL is a lot of things. But they are not a shitty business.

There's a rumor there will be a Black Friday game on Amazon either this year or next year.
Makes sense. Honestly I'd like to see them get rid of the Thanksgiving night game, and replace it with like a 3pm and 6:30 game on both Friday and Saturday that weekend.

Sarcasm meter batteries need checking!
Usually implies there was sarcasm in the first place. If you had said "eight of the nine traveling teams" ... then there would have been sarcasm present

I won't lose sleep over not seeing Broncos/Jaguars, but an ESPN+ exclusive bugs me a lot more than NFL Network exclusives. I realize that as more people cut the cord it's inevitable we see more of it.

Does CFB still have important games that weekend? I thought the conference championship games were a week or two later and there was only a limited slate Thanksgiving weekend
I hope not. That Saturday really should just be a college football day.
Kind of a shitty thing to do to CFB, but they would kill in the ratings with it. And I'd be watching.

OSU/Michigan is almost aways the Saturday after Thanksgiving. And usually a few other interesting games, like ND/USC or ND/Stanford, which can often have playoff implications. It's usually a pretty decent slate on Saturday, at least.

I prefer the opposite. Give me 5+ games on Turkey Day. CFB is for Fri/Sat. Would prefer CFB have some more on Fri.

The resurgent Broncos agreed to lose one of their (only) 8 home games?
denver is not loseing a homegame they were going to have to go to Jaxl anyway what bugs me is espn+ only they could had done espn 2 and espn+ but Jax should just move to london anyway

they couild do it by having 2 4 game home and road sets or just give a super bowl game to london every 10 years

Black Friday has not been a big day for CFB lately in terms of marquee games. There were some rivalry games, but not any of the big ones. Iowa/Nebraska, Colorado/Utah, UNC/NC St, Missouri/Arkansas, and WSU/Washington were the highlights this past year if that tells you anything. The biggest games of Thanksgiving weekend in CFB are on Saturday. Bedlam, Iron Bowl, ND/Stanford, The Ax game, Clemson/SC, Oregon/OSU, Florida St/UF, and of course OSU/Michigan.
