Why are you using your gift of future sight to tell us about draft results instead of something useful.

That’s a nice trade, potential gain of 25 slots for the ‘23 pick.
This is as useful as I get. And yes, next year at this time I’ll probably be glad they made the deal. Can’t help but feel like they missed some real opportunities to improve the D in this draft.

Ha. This ain’t that, and you know it

what’s the over/under on wins next year, 8.5?
The point is that Bill’s moves in the draft likely have almost nothing to do with what he thinks about the team’s chances in the following season.

Yeah, Lions, Colts, Commanders all might take a QB, but also, late 3rd/early 4th is when teams who have older QBs or don't have backups might start thinking about taking a project

Kay Adams would have been a better pick than Cole Strange

One thing I like about this year's draft picks... they all appear to have absolute elite athletic traits....
Strange is one of the best all-around athletes at G ever, Thornton has all-time speed/acceleration, Jones doesn't have testing since he was hurt, but watching him play, I would guess if he had he'd have elite agility and accelleration. No more fringe athletes, Bill has definitely shifted towards athleticism if nothing else.

Does seem like a shift in philosophy. Wonder if that puts Zyon McCollum on their radar.

whatever clearly BB wasn’t a fan he had multiple opportunities at all these linebackers.

but who the hell is going to play?

I would guess the guy he traded for, the guy he re-signed and some combination of: The two guys he drafted last year (1 in the 3rd) and the 2 guys he drafted in the 2nd and 3rd the year before.... also there are Free agents and there will be cuts.... and we still have a bunch of picks.

Not sure why people thought we were going to get a 3rd round rookie and he would be an instant starter, when we've drafted 3 guys in the last 2 years in the 2nd or 3rd and not given them significant run.

Chenal was otherworldly at Wisconsin. If there weren’t serious doubts about his athleticism against NFL talent, he’d have been gone long ago.

BB must be fairly confident about depth on the LB spot, including a (healthy) McMillan & McGrone, new comers like Mack Wilson, as well as developing young'uns like Uche, Ronnie Perkins and (gulp) Jennings.
