Looking ahead? Past their home opener? The first home game with their quarter billion dollar QB? After losing in humiliating fashion on opening day?

Come on man, that just doesn’t add up. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar; this is a talented team in a tough division with a still great QB and a coach who doesn’t know his ass from a hole in the ground.

I think so. But replace it with “still very good” or even just “still good” and my point stands.

This coach has no business leading an NFL team. It’s plain as day.

there’s no doubt in my mind Hackett is the new Adam Gase
I’ve got a hot take. He’s a lot worse. Gase has some serious personality problems but when he had a shit roster and played other teams with shit roster he was whatever. The Jets talent was so bad that judging anything Bowles or Gase did is not fair. This fucking guy in Denver is making Russell Wilson look worse than Darnold looked for Gase or Bowles. If we want to compare him to a former Jets coach, it’s Kotite. They should have stuck with Fangio. Maybe Hackett will ask for help and he can succeed because he has a talented team (something neither Bowles or Gase had with the Jets).

denver has 3 kind of of trap games coming up if they can beat indy and spit vegas lac then after that is 5 winnable games in a row with the toughest being JAX in london

i think denver will be 8-3 after 11 games which sits them up for good WC position

This coach has no business coaching an NFL team. He’s got a probable hall of famer looking like he’s got the rookie jitters.

well javonte is out for the season which is a tough break for him and i feel for him torn ACL and PCL
if u have follow denver for the last 15-20 years 1 thing they can do is make littie used RB a factor see O Gary M anderson r dhordhps p hillis
it does kind of capped denver at 9 wins
weird thing to say in week 5 but thur night game is a defacto playoff game for both indy and den

i really respect u guys for not rosting denver on this page

i was wrong hackett is not the guy and wilson looks cooked not only is this season most likely over but their next 2 after that as well as we are tied to wilson utill 2024 denver def will win a few games when their off scores more than 16 pts i feel bad for the def playes on denver if u put denver def in NE ne is 4-0 hackett is just dumb in manging a game that can be fixed with a exp coach in 23 or 24 but Wilson is the way bigger worry he refused to scmable in big monets he still has a good arm but he locks on to only 1 or 2 wr only throws checkdowns or deep shots now denver OL is bad but i through that they would give Wilson that extra .5

now these 12 games will be used to see who is keepable on off beyond sutton wilson and j williams as the def is rock soild as with a nomial off they win 10-11 games but with den off they win 5 or 6

Pats are 1-3. We’ve got our own problems. I will say that the Broncos are in a pretty decent shape talent wise right now. This year is looking like a bit of a lost year with the Javonte injury though. Obviously, clock is ticking on Russ, which probably makes it more frustrating for you. But still plenty of time to turn it around.

But I certainly wouldn’t have much confidence in Hackett doing so. He looks completely overmatched in the role.

u are right on defense denver can go 2 deep on def but on off denver needs better pass blocking OL ol the WR are ok going foward so are the RB'S But denver needs a overhaul at te as they have no pass catching te the weird thing is denver is 2 plays from 4-1 and 2 plays from 1-4

I have no love for the Broncos (I don’t really hate them either) but I just feel bad for broncos fans. It’s so clear that Hackett is tanking this team so badly that I just have sympathy. And Wilson is corny as hell but goddamn if he isn’t(wasn’t?) an outstanding QB, so seeing him struggle under that bozo is just hard to watch.

So, the state of Wilson's shoulder suggests they REALLY should have run the ball.

Russ’s shoulder didn’t miss the read on 4th down vs Indy. He could have made that throw left handed.

I'm not a doctor but I don't understand the benefit of playing a QB with partially torn muscle. Seems like a good way for him to put in poor performances until he fully tears it or injures something else trying to compensate. It's especially dumb with an over the hill player who's going to struggle to come back the same from a more serious injury.

I wonder how much more rope Hackett is going to get? I have watched more Broncos games than just about every other team as they have been on primetime seemingly every week. While their defense is otherworldly, their offense is just putrid and I think most of it can be attributed to coaching. It almost as if they just told Wilson to just go back there a sling it and didn’t really build an offense to suite him.

Sorry J man, you deserve better and really thought you would get better this year. Still time to turn it around. Just got to start winning and that’s starts with the Jets.

I can't imagine him not getting the year, very few coaches get less than a couple years barring some outside scandal. Even 1 year is surprising (particularly if you're white). On the other hand... somebody has to take the fall, and it won't be the GM, and it won't be the QB they just traded a haul for and gave a massive extension to. Wonder if they do the whole... "shakeup playcaller duties" trick this week, maybe make a trade (Gordon?). Losing is bad, looking dumb is bad. But the worst thing is all the vets on offense look just disgusted and angry every game. If you lose the lockerroom in 6 weeks.... yikes. Even Patricia and McDaniels didn't do that. Only guy I can remember that happening to that fast was Meyer

yeah it been gross the def has played well enough to be 5-1 but the off have played bad enough to be 0-6

denver might have the grimest future in the league because yes u can change coaches but wilson unless his shouler helas itstif looks done he rufuses to throw in the middle of the field he wants only the deep shot
now in wilson def the OL is bad but if wilson is hurt he needs to get that taken care of

and yes i wouild fire hackett and promoto the DC it's more wilson fauit than hackett but u cant get rid of wilson

if denver can cut the errors out they can go 3-2 4-1 in their next 5 games

Wilson has been reluctant for years to throw over the middle. I wish I could understand why. But this middle of the field thing isn't because of the injury. He's going to try and gut it out because that's the kind of player he is, unfortunately usually to the team's deteriment.

Wilson is out which gives denver a better shot at winning because rypien will use all of the field wilson should not had played the last 2 weeks which is on wilson and hackett

as bad as denver had been these next 5 games sits up good for denver def big if here but if denver can get 20 pts a game they can go 4-1 or 5-0 in the next 5
but if they lose sunday 3-14 or 4-13 is likely

credit to the Jets they will beat NE once even without a qb

like i said above 3-14 4-13 is likely

denver worries are 3-fold
1 this coach just does not have it if it's after this season or 23 he has to go
2 the qb let's say he is not as bad well then the only way he can win going foward is 2013 Seattle sylie
3 the ownship will they sit back and let this go on wreacking 23 24 25 or will they act and bring in a def minded head coach why not denver DC on staff now he has earned a head coach shot

what worries me is 2 because unlees we give up our 1st round pick in 24 and do what atl did we are going to be this bad for 4 more years

i feel for our def because put them in NE right now they are 7-0

Wish I had this confidence but we can be dink and dunked on which BB will do. I am not giving up on Zach yet: I won’t until I watch him fail when the other team isn’t rushing him up the middle off the snap.

This Denver D is really something special. I have been impressed.

might as well look ahead to 2023 now

the num 1 thing is will hackett come back if he does u can ex more of the same but if not with a def first coach and OL upgrades couild push denver to 8-9 wins in 23

QB - wilson is going to get atother shot but for him to work they need to comit to the run and build up the o-line
RB if J Willams can come back from his ACL denver shouild be ok here m boone is a good num 2 choice but will be a fa
WR other than sutton looks to be a issure getting patrick back will help but jerdy looks like a bust
TE a mess here other than serbert and dorceh
O-Line a total mess needs 3 new starters maybe 4
D-line Dremont Jones is a fa if he comes back they are set here
ILB singtelon is turning into a star at ILB Grifett is stout inside jewell is a fa and might be too much to keep
Edge they have gregory browning and maybe chubb he is a fa after this year
CB surtain is on a hall of fame path just like champ bailey K'williams is a good nickel CB the q here is will darby stay or go
S they are very good here simmons and steans will be a stong duo
K might need a new K here

Needs
1 OL
2 WR
3 Backup RB
4 num 2 CB if darby leves has a year left on deal
5 DE if D Jones Leves
6 K

if hackett stayes in 23 i wouild guess 4-5 wins but a new coach couild mean a ex 4-5 wins as long they upgrade the o-line

I think Hackett will be gone. They’ll have to try something different for Wilson, in whom they have a lot more invested.

Kind of weird for that to be the game that turned them on Hackett... playing without the QB they traded a ton for and with a scrub backup, without their best skill position player, and against a very good defense they kept it a 1 score game throughout

it's been building over these last 7 games and u can make a case for denver to be 0-7 was down to hou in the start of the 4th q and only beat sf by 2 late turnovers by the defense with any offence at all denver is at worse 4-3 likey 5-2
the only reason i wouild suppourt it is to give our DC a shot at least gb cant win without him as well

Denver went from 10-7/11-6 to 4-13/3-14.

I guess that's why they don't play games on paper; "The AFC West is loaded, 3, maybe 4 playoff teams might come from that division" to "Well, KC for sure.......................and maybe the Raiders or Chargers."

That's the beauty of sports; no script, stuff happens.

only the chiefs will make it out of the afc west

this broncos team reminds me of 2010 but with way better def

and its true what u said but if wilson is healthy next year with a better o-line denver could double this coming year win total while the chiefs are not beatable for denver utill reid goes they match up good aga the other two in the div

the good thing about being a bad team is u can catch someone overlooking u so watch out Tenn Zona and Rams
