Sorry, I know some people here are into this, but to me this is good news as from my perspective all it did was interfere with spring training.

I'm pretty bummed. I get that it might not make sense in 2021, but "canceled" makes me think it's not coming back until 2025 (or maybe ever?) rather than postponed until 2022 or whatever.

The followup report says 2023 is likely.

I skipped work to drink morning beers at qualifying games at the Brooklyn Cyclones' stadium prior to the last WBC. I really was looking forward to that again, assuming they would've been in Brooklyn. I saw Ryan Lavarnway in action!

I saw Jose Contreras throw a complete game shutout in a 1-0 victory over Australia during the 2000 Olympics. It was fantastic.

I get the moaning about preparedness but like the overseas series and games those are mostly just excuses from whiny, decadent, capitalist running dog players.

Games of country v country are great for non USA countries, who have everything to win and nothing to lose.
