I'm so ready for this thing to be done and out of the media's eye at this point. I cannot take more days of people speculating on Brooks/Bryson and whether Brooks has the mental toughness or some other bullshit to step up to play in the Ryder Cup. Whether the US gives a shit etc etc. Gimme a fucking break.

I hate this high school level sports dramatization.

The Ryder Cup and the Masters are the two events left on my sports bucket list. Luckily in 2025 this comes to Bethpage. I’ve got to go. SoSH golf meetup?

JT will be hitting off the odd tees.

This scene is awesome. Not even light out yet and the stands are full on the first tee.

I really like the DJ/Morikawa pairing. For half the holes we get to see how nuts it would be if Morikawa was a big hitter.

Featured group on rydercup.com is the first match. Comes in handy for the commercial load that's coming.
This might be useless if the opening match is the one the broadcast deems to be their featured match.

There should really be some kind of subscription where you can stream all 4. They could rake in even more money than they already do.

This is the Ryder Cup stuff that always happens. Europe just always seems to make crazy stuff while the Americans miss putts that they'd make if they were in the final round of a major.

Do we know the local rules on the bunkers here? are they bunkers or waste areas? Hear there's some history at this joint with such matters.

Commercials overwhelming early. Playing through with 12 guys in alt shot is something. Also Whistling is more target golf than I remembered. Doesn't look like some huge advantage for the US

I wish my "quite a big pull" shots ended up pin high like 25 feet like Rahm's.
It's been said that golf is a game of misses, and it often comes down to whose misses are smaller.

My misses can tend to be...rather large.

JT has missed 2 makeable putts to win holes. That's the difference in that match. Rahm has made his, JT has missed.

Nice to have a guy like Bryson coming off the bench, eh?

I would think they'd keep successful pairings together as much as possible. Though I don't know how different the pairing strategy is between fourball and foursomes.

I'd probably sit JT/Spieth.
Would you go with DJ/Morikawa or Koepka/Berger? For me, I'd play JT/Spieth and sit them tomorrow morning. Let Koepka rest his wrist a bit and keep DJ strong for the next 2 days. If JT/JS are your leaders, trust them to right the ship in fourball and get the potentially bad taste out of their mouths if they do lose this match.

They aren't getting much air time so it's kinda tough to get a feel for how DJ, Morikawa, Berger and Koepka are playing. Gun to my head I'd probably roll with DJ/Morikawa.

Also, i think Scheffler will be with Bryson and Finau with English unless they sit English out the whole day. They don't usually sit someone all of Friday though.
