Eh - fairways hit isn't a great stat. Missing the fairway by a yard is not equivalent to spraying it all over the planet and hitting 3 off the tee, but both count as a missed fairway. Strokes Gained OTT is a much better way to look at it (but not perfect, of course).

He's still been negative there this year, and he won't be "back" in my opinion until he isn't losing strokes off the tee. He'll never be at the top of the rankings there ever, but just needs to be mediocre and let his iron play and putting take over.

Just thought it was surprising that he was #1 yesterday in such a stacked field. Very rare (and not sustainable).

He left his Double Eagle attempt on 11, 4 inches short

Only half paying attention, but it seems like if Micklelson made half the 15-20 footers (and he had a bunch) that he barely missed he'd have shot 66.

Yeah this is turning into quite a leaderboard. I threw some cash on Fitzpatrick to win at the beginning of the week, so was happy to see him bounce back just now.

Andy Brickley's potty mouth
I haven't watched much Golf Channel lately and definitely haven't seen Chamblee in probably a year. He doesn't look good, is something up with him? Or did he just put on weight and it all went to his face? He looks puffy

He was on Colt Knost podcasts a few months ago and looked fine. I’m watching Live From this morning and agree with you. He doesn’t look right.

I’ve come around on Chamblee. Used to hate him, blocked me on Twitter like 10 years ago. But I find myself agreeing with him more lately.

It's like these guys have been replaced with 18 handicappers.

Anyone check to see if someone has the mind stone on the course?

DeChambeau is done. Stick a fork in him. (Hyperbole alert.)

Westwood will likely get up and down and staunch the bleeding. But the damage to the psyche of “the genius” may be profound.
