It is officially slated for Wednesday at 8pm. There are usually some games teased out before the release.

I've seen the rumor that the Tampa Bay game at the Blade (a.k.a. Mac Jones vs Tom Brady, Chapter 1) is slated for Thanksgiving. I hope that isn't the case.

17 game season this year.

PATRIOTS 2021 OFFICIAL SCHEDULE:

WEEK 1: 9/12 Dolphins 4:25pm
WEEK 2: 9/19 at Jets 1:00 pm
WEEK 3: 9/26 Saints 1pm
WEEK 4: 10/3 Bucs (SNF)
WEEK 5: 10/10 at Texans 1pm
WEEK 6: 10/17 Cowboys 4:25pm
WEEK 7: 10/24 Jets 1:00pm
WEEK 8: 10/31 at Chargers 4:05pm
WEEK 9: 11/7 at Panthers 1pm
WEEK 10: 11/14 Browns 1pm
WEEK 11: 11/18 at Falcons (TNF)
WEEK 12: 11/28 Titans 1pm
WEEK 13 12/6 at Bills (MNF)
WEEK 14: BYE
WEEK 15: 12/19 at Colts TBD
WEEK 16: 12/26 Bills 1pm
WEEK 17: 1/2 Jaguars 1pm
WEEK 18: 1/9 at Dolphins 1pm

Airs on NFL Network. It's a THREE hour show PLUS a half hour BTS type show after it.
They’ve found a way to hype EVERYTHING into oblivion. I won’t be watching this three hour monstrosity; fortunately, I can just log onto any one of twenty websites later that night or the next day to look through the schedule.

Chris Price did the same in the Globe today. I'll take a stab at the schedule.

Week 1(9/12): at Carolina 1 pm CBS
--A juicy opener for the league as Cam Newton goes to face his former team to start the season.

Week 2(9/19): vs. Houston 1 pm CBS
--Caserio brings his team back to his old stomping grounds. An early September matchup feels right for this matchup.

Week 3(9/26) vs. Jacksonville 1 pm CBS
--Trevor Lawrence comes to Foxboro for the first time.

Week 4(9/30) at Buffalo 8:25 FOX
--A tough road game on a short week in primetime. We will see how much better the defense really is as this is the first big test.

Week 5(10/10) vs. New Orleans 4:25 FOX
--No longer Brees vs. Brady, but many eyeballs will be glued to the TV sets to watch these two go at it.

Week 6(10/17) at Miami 1:00 CBS
--At least it isn't early September, so the temps should be a bit lower but still a tough divisional test.

Week 7(10/24) at Indy 1:00 CBS
--An always fun matchup between two teams whose QB play will dictate how good they are.

Week 8(10/31) vs Cleveland 4:25 CBS
-A good matchup against a tough playoff team from last year

Week 9: BYE

Week 10(11/14) vs. Tampa Bay 8:25 NBC
--#12 comes back

Week 11(11/21) vs. Dallas 8:25 NBC
--Two of the biggest most high profile organizations in sports go at it. Always a ratings bonanza.

Week 12(11/28) at NY Jets 1:00 CBS
--Rivalry part 1

Week 13(12/5) vs. Tennessee 4:25 CBS
--The year of old friends coming back to Foxboro continues as Mike Vrabel leads his team in.

Week 14(12/13) vs. Buffalo 8:00 ESPN
--The same matchup on Monday Night last year was a total dud. Let's hope that changes.

Week 15(12/19) at Atlanta 1:00 CBS
--Over under how many 28-3 references?

Week 16(12/26) at LA Chargers 4:25 CBS
--A rematch of last year's blowout.

Week 17(1/2) vs. Miami 1:00 CBS
--Let's hope this game matters for seeding purposes only

Week 18(1/9) vs Jets 1:00 CBS
--Rest the starters for the playoffs?

How are they going to program the Packers? Do they have any inside knowledge or will they just guess?
Packers with Rodgers is one of their highest rated teams. Packers with Jordan Love, not so much.

Maybe schedule most of their prime time games for later in the season so they can be flexed out if necessary.

Too scared Brady will be hurt by then?

Here's hoping the game is a 4:25 national game and not SNF.

I think it's a near certainty that the Tampa game will be SNF. That's the premiere NFL timeslot.
Did they do away with the CBS and Fox getting to protect certain games? They used to have the ability under one of the TV contracts, but I am not certain if it has been kept in the latest iterations. Cause there is going to be a fight over keeping that game.

I do remember that and I'm not 100% on it.

I still think the league will make sure this game is on SNF.

I do agree. I was kind of expecting it to be the Thanksgiving Night game given the talk about that happening.

The Bengals play the following Pats' opponents these weeks so you can scratch them:

Week 4 Jacksonville (TNF)
Week 8 Jets
Week 9 (and 18 but that's a division game anyways) Cleveland
Week 13 Chargers

The first game with fans in Vegas will be on the opening Monday night. Supposedly either the Ravens or the Donkeys.

The new TV deal starts in 2023, not this year.
thanks, from that link this is what was getting at

“ESPN's package adds six games to the network during the season. There will be three Monday night doubleheaders -- with games on ESPN, followed by a game on ABC. There will also be a Saturday doubleheader during the season's final weekend and one Sunday morning game streaming nationally on ESPN+.”

He also says a 425pm start time which is really an odd start time for a home opener at Gillette.

So Fox is having the Game of the Week on week 1 and CBS has 2 games going against it with Pats/Phins and Chiefs/Browns? That doesn't make much sense to me. Chiefs/Browns is a marquee game and it won't be aired outside of the home markets?

Really surprised they would burn Cowboys/Bucs week 1. Also, that SNF game is incredibly boring unless Fields is starting.
