Congrats to the Bucks. Really incredible from where they were when Giannis got hurt in the Hawks series. From will he leave to signing a Superman. From trailing and being underdogs near the half to controlling the 2nd half. From 0-2 to 4-2. Phenomenal.

Watching Booker and Middleton lay it all on the floor prior to their 18 hour flight to Tokyo makes me like my France wager on Sunday that much more.

2020-2021 Suns = 2019-2020 Heat

Good luck with signing Chris Paul for some insane multi year, franchise destroying contract. Lol.

So much respect for Giannis's greatness. What a cool thing for Milwaukee.

Getting goosebumps and it's a bit dusty in here from Giannis winning this. Where he came from to the now...wow, what a story.

Dropped 40 against Brooklyn in Game 7, and now 50 to close out the Finals. Dude put up a legendary playoff run.

Giannis with one of the most legendary Finals closeout game ever. He was an absolute beast. For basketball purists, seeing Giannis win it all with the team that drafted snd developed him, after LeBron and KD took the easy way to their first title, it was a great thing.

The Suns blow a 2-0 Finals lead for only the fourth time in NBA history.

Jeff Teague got a ring. I genuinely feel happy for that dude. He had the best season of anyone on the Celtics opening day roster

Bucks are easily my favorite non-Celtics title team since the Duncan Spurs. It's great for the NBA they won a title and it put a man like Giannis on this platform.

Don’t forget PJ Tucker, who was playing in the Ukrainian league a decade ago. Lots of good stories on the Bucks.
Very true. And the aforementioned Teague. "Arlington's own Pat Connaughton". Jrue fulfilling his promise after the Bucks gave up a crazy haul (IMO) to get him there.

Jrue had a fantastic defensive series. Still not the best athlete in his household, but well done, Jrue.

I'm kind of happy Coach Bud looks like a kid right now, after all the discussion about his job over the past year plus. Like dude, who could you replace Bud with who would do better for the Bucks?

Really likeable team. Giannis turning himself into a dominant force and planting roots in this small town. Lot of great stories.

Feel for the Suns, but lots of good, young talent on that team.

On top of all that, gotta feel good for coach Bud. Seems like a good guy and a solid coach who was on the verge of being fired.

50 years on the nose since the Bucks' last title, Giannis drops a 50 spot.

On 16-25 fg and 17-19 ft. With 14 rebounds on 5 blocks. After bending his knee like 30° backwards a couple weeks ago.

Has there ever been an easier FMVP call?

I know it's easy to attribute "likability" to the players on the team whose laundry you happen to be rooting for, but there are many seemingly good dudes on the Bucks, between Giannis, Holiday, Middleton, Tucker, Coach Bud, et al.

Only bittersweet note for me is I would have loved to see Monty Williams get a ring.

I’m also incredibly happy for Giannis and fir guys who choose to stay in their cities.

Also, big shout out for Bobby Portis who gave a tear-inducing speech about how he went from being depressed and living with his mom after not being invited to the bubble by his last team to being an NBA champ who played meaningful minutes in the Finals. Great story.

This Bucks team is one of the lowest draft picks team to win a title. Highest picked player is Lopez at 10. Only 7 first round draft picks, including a two way player.

Only three players on the roster were drafted by the Bucks, Giannis, DiVincenzo, Nwora, and only Giannis was in the finals.

Just a scrappy team, led by the generational talent Giannis and a solid all star in Middleton.

Giannis wasn’t really this can’t miss prospect that nobody could believe was dropping in the draft. I mean, he was a 17 year old kid playing in Spain, not dominating the Final Four.

There are some liars on this subforum who will act like they knew Giannis would grow 6 inches and gain 50 pounds of muscle because they watched the tape. But, yeah, you're right.

Giannis was laying Division II pro basketball in Greece as a teenager, and he wasn't even that good in the league, he was only named an all star because he was a fan favorite. It's a complete, unrepeatable miracle that he turned into the player he is today.

The general thought is that as a poor kid in Greece, he was malnourished and when he got to the NBA he grew to his adult height and weight, which made him a much more formidable basketball player.

So I guess a team led by Giannis can win in the playoffs.

Happy for the Bucks; nice to see a non-traditional power win the Trophy. Great for the fans of the city. Great run by the Suns as well. Be fun to see them as well.

Yeah, KD has become pretty unlikeable. Giannis is a delight.
KD joined the 73 win Warriors. He will never live that down, despite the fact that he's truly an incredible basketball talent. Giannis stayed in Milwaukee. Other than Curry, he's the only mega super star to stay on his team over the previous decade. Giannis has earned the love.
