Imagine Nike approaching Tiger about wearing some of the shirts they're putting on Fleetwood, Reed, Brooks and their other guys?

Rose has hit two putts today that would make an amateur blush. He had a 30 foot putt from the fringe on 4 that went about 8 feet and never got off the fringe.

Obviously... it's Augusta, so the degree of difficulty on these putts is crazy. But still, eventually he won't save bogey on one of these holes.

Lets not write off Rose's lead just yet. This time yesterday he was 2 over.
Heh, poorly timed as Rose chunks his approach shot and now has a difficult up and down for par.

Then again, the course is obviously playing hard today. His head start will keep him at or near the top of the leaderboard today.

Even if he does, having 30+ feet for par on a regular basis isn't a recipe for success anywhere, let alone Augusta

It's really weird that Kuchar randomly starts arm locking on his right arm at Augusta after like a decade of arm locking on the left arm.

I don't think anyone is writing it off.

But he started the day -7. He's now -4. He's dropping shots, which has tightened things. Still early though.

Rose didn't look comfortable at the range this morning and did say he was surprised by his back 9 yesterday since his swing was a bit off coming into the week. I don't think he magically found it. Just got a bit hot.

The current odds on favorite to win The Masters is Jordan Spieth at +500. As much as I'm rooting for Spieth, that is a ridiculous line.

I have the featured groups on TV 1, Amen on TV 2, and 4-6 on the iPad. Did they change the way the streams are set up? Seems like Lowry will not get off my TVs. Wasn't there two featured group in the past?

It's been way too much Lowry but we've gotten a lot of Phil and Fleetwood on the featured groups, too.

The problem is Lowry takes FOREVER to play. So when they focus on him, you're stuck waiting for him, like everyone else on the course.

If there's one way to make me hate you it's playing slow

Rose and Leishman at the top of the leaderboard... what year is this, 2017?!

Rose did very well to avoid a back slide after a rough front nine. He'll probably have some company at around 6, 7 under at the end of the day, but he's still in much better shape than I would have thought a couple hours ago.

I was looking at an aerial and noticed Augusta seems to have acquired land behind the 13th tee. The back tee used to be up against the property line and another golf course's fairway was in the way of going further. That hole was rerouted sometime after 2017 which is the last historical aerial I could find. Anyway, there's now room to length the 13th hole about 30-60 yards.

Yeah they bought land from the public course a year or two ago. Think they can add about 90 yards to it

Dealing with the broadcast you have to endure the weird creepy breathing, which is incessant and annoying. And, worse, you have to deal with Nantz and his smug douchiness. The Amen Corner group is much better and it's funny that they put the worst announcers on the TV broadcast because of "tenure".
