If there was ever a good argument for electronic balls/strikes it’s the framing stats. It makes zero sense that the same pitch can be called either way depending how the catcher receives it.

I know it’s an art, but it still seems unfair.
At least with Gary Sanchez gone, we won't see any dropped strikes that get called balls.

A hundred percent agreed, but electronic strike zone technology still seems a few years away.

Probably not worth noting yet but 2nd worst offense in the AL by runs scored so far. Nearly no action on the basepaths, most of the offense coming from solo homeruns. Another week or two of this and I bet we see an infield shuffle again.

Hitting into very bad luck so far also though, 3rd hardest hit rate in all of MLB behind just ATL and TOR:

Not sure what kind of infield shuffle you think is possible, Peraza and Volpe are struggling too. Peraza is the single youngest player in his AAA league, Volpe is the 5th youngest player in his AA league, Yankee fans are going to need to be a bit patient and hope some of these hard-hit balls start finding grass.

Hard pass on Gleyber at SS again. Doubt he would hit well enough to make up the difference.

Also think he has a better chance of an honest-to-goodness offensive breakout if he is comfortable at 2B.

I don't think IKF is the problem. The big guys need to settle down a bit. I think they will.

Yeah, Gleyber's not going back to SS unless he and DJ both start hitting like All-Stars and even then, dunno. IKF is the SS until Peraza or Cabrera pushes him out, I think.

And yeah, they need Donaldson and Gallo to wake up.
