I don't actively root against Brady, but I'm not rooting for him to succeed either, he's no longer on the Patriots, so I could care less.
As I said in the Betts thread, athletes come and go, the team is the constant, the name on the front stays the same, the name on the back changes either via trade, free agency or retirement.
Brady was a free agent and he decided to leave; he's not to blame, the Patriots are not to blame, somewhere in the middle lies the truth. He's 42 years old, sooner or later as an organization, they were going to have to move on from him.
He wants to play until he's 45 or whatever; good for him.
If he thinks bringing Brown in increases his chances of getting another ring, then that's fine, that's on him.
Knowing what he knows about Brown and the mess he caused here last year, I don't get it.
Brady must really, really want to show people it was not Belichick all along; it was him.
Whatever helps him sleep at night.
