With the 49ers holding on by an inch to clinch the NFC West, the regular season is in the books and the matchups are set. That means it's time to fire this thread up for the 2020 playoffs.

Final seedings are below.

Make your picks for each game through SB LIV in Miami (including the final score of the SB).

As always, one point for each winner you pick.

Correctly selecting a winner in the Divisional Round gets you a point, regardless of whether you nailed the matchup.

I’ll track the results and post standings throughout the playoffs. Any entry posted in this thread before kickoff of the first playoff game next weekend will be in the mix.

Good luck.

=======

AFC:
1. BAL (14-2)
2. KC (12-4)
3. NE (12-4)
4. HOU (10-6)
5. BUF (10-6)
6. TEN (9-7)

Round 1:
6 – TEN @ 3 – NE
5 – BUF @ 4 – HOU

Round 2:
3, 4, or 5 @ 2 – KC
4, 5, or 6 @ 1 – BAL

NFC:
1. SF (13-3)
2. GB (13-3)
3. NO (13-3)
4. PHI (9-7)
5. SEA (11-5)
6. MIN (10-6)

Round 1:
6 – MIN @ 3 – NO
5 – SEA @ 4 – PHI

Round 2:
3, 4, or 5 @ 2 – GB
4, 5, or 6 @ 1 – SF

==========

Last year, Soxy Brown took bragging rights, going 9-2 and predicting a high-scoring 27-24 Patriots win over the Rams. Whose crystal ball will be clearest in 2020?

Travel probably played a part in the decision. To make either SF or (as it worked out) Seattle comes east to play a playoff game on six days after a Sunday night game would not have been fair so they had be a Sunday game.

And of course, the networks. ESPN/ABC always gets the last choice so they were getting the Bills-Texans game. (They're practically the Texans playoff network.) Fox got the Saturday 8 pm game last year so I guess it was CBS's turn this year. That put both AFC games on Saturday.

This is always a fun thread - and echo others’ thoughts that it’s really not easy to get right.

AFC
New England over Tennessee

NO over Minnesota
Philly over Seattle

SF over Philly

NO over SF

SB LIV (is Steven Tyler somewhere in the halftime show with the power ballad?)

NO over KC 31-24. Brees retires. Mike drop.

I didn't tally it, but just a quick glance through the thread reveals that for the first time in...forever...we Pats fans as a whole just don't think they can do it this year. Understandable, given their situation, but still. Not only are there not that many people so far trying their hand at this, but very few of us are picking the Pats.

I know we don’t usually question people’s picks, but, if you pick NE over a tough team in TEN, and then over staunch/ likely more talented teams than us like KC and BAL, why not go all the way with NE? I’m assuming you’re a NE fan, which may be making an ass out of me.

Why not, @Al Zarilla ? Maybe the Pats win three very tough games and then run out of gas? Maybe they're tied in the 4th quarter against NO and get beaten deep late by Brees and Thomas? Maybe they get dinged in a physical AFCC victory against Baltimore? Not saying I'm rooting for this outcome by any stretch - just that I believe in this team, but think running the table might be hard.

What are you picking?
