There’s always the possibility of signing an incorrect scorecard.A teeny tiny bit. It would be best to tell him now, so he blows a gasket and blows up on 18.
PGA tour won’t let that happen. They’ll at least inform him of it.There’s always the possibility of signing an incorrect scorecard.
The ball did appear to sink a tiny bit further into the grass, and for most amateurs that automatically makes the lie worse...but sometimes pros would rather have a ball in deep rough not sit up too high, in a way that they might slide the club under the ball without making a clean contact. (Not that I'm saying that was necessarily the case here; either way, I don't think it made any real difference to the tournament or to the greatness of Rahm's shot, even if I think it probably should be a penalty.)Agreed the lie got worse.
Slugger needs to make sure Rahm is a perfect gentleman like Reed before rendering a decision.Slugger White going to meet with Rahm after to get his perspective before declaring a penalty is so dumb. Either the ball moved or it didn't.
Something about Rahm makes him likeable versus the something about Bryson that makes him unlikeable. They both bitch and moan but somehow Rahm doesn’t bother me. I can relate to the occasional club slam.Fuck CBS for asking him the question the ball moving before he spoke to rules official. Or F the PGA tour for not making sure to talk to him about the penalty before the interview.
All that said, he gave a good answer.

I think the British accent takes the edge off his commentary and makes him sound wise and charming rather than dickish, like Johnny Miller did sometimes. (At least to American ears.)Faldo has been growing on me. I might be spending too much time watching golf.
Reds nailed it. Rahm can run hot, but his heat is directed inward. He's a player who gets mad at himself.Rahm’s temper is about the only thing to dislike about him. He owns it too and just admits that’s how he is. I find it entertaining to watch.
Bryson has a temper too but doesn’t own it and lashes out at the cameramen and has his caddie run interference for him when he’s in meltdown mode. And the temper is reason like 7473294937 why he’s an ass and unlikeable.
Reauchambeau
Hmmmm. I think the former was intentional and the latter not, but perhaps you're playing a game with which I'm not familiar?Blake Koepka

Hard to argue with this. How could you watch that post round interview and not love the guy? He's everything we should want in golf. Insanely talented, humble, fiery competitor.. what else could you want?Rahm is fucking awesome.
Faldo seems to have a sense of humor.Rahm plays golf and gets mad at himself.
DeChambeau believes he reinvented golf and gets mad at, well, everyone because he isn’t treated as a living deity.

I say that as someone who feels the same way about Faldo. (I also liked Miller, though sometimes he would go too far.)
His backstory is incredible. He came to the US to go to college not knowing a word of English and listened to rap music over and over to learn the language/grammar since it had the most diverse vocabulary. Then look at him in that interview, and it's remarkable.Hard to argue with this. How could you watch that post round interview and not love the guy? He's everything we should want in golf. I watch for Spieth.I'm not sure why most of you even watch golf except to complain about all the golfers.
Maybe I'm tired, confused and just not getting it (A/K/A - my usual state) but isn't that what most of us are saying?Rahm is fucking awesome.
I've heard this backstory, and I have such a difficult time believing it. Not that I don't, but the dude speaks better English than I do. It's amazing. His backstory is incredible. I dunno, I actively tuned out after everyone was rooting for him to crash and burn yesterday. I missed some of the positive stuff posted today.Maybe I'm tired, confused and just not getting it (A/K/A - my usual state) but isn't that what most of us are saying?
The fact that he has a temper doesn't bother me a bit. Because he's not a dick about it.
People were just rooting for a close tournament instead of a runaway.I dunno, I actively tuned out after everyone was rooting for him to crash and burn yesterday. I missed some of the positive stuff posted today.
Psshht factsPeople were just rooting for a close tournament instead of a runaway.
