Bryson is playing some army golf this afternoon.
If I understand the issue now, he was given a ruling that he’s out of bounds. Got a second ruling. Didn’t like that and now is asking for a third ruling.

I hope they penalize him for slow play.

Dick.

Edit: And now that they showed a close up, he’s clearly out of bounds. (What a dick.)

Your perspective is not relevant. The rules are relevant. (Dick.)

So, if 2nd opinions are a thing, what happens if the 2nd guy agrees with Bryson? 2 officials with differing opinions. Do they need a 3rd to break the tie? Is there an official hierarchy?

The second official was higher up the food chain - that's the way these things escalate. You don't like the ruling from the guy following your group, you get a ruling from one of head officials on tour...and then that's it. (The second ruling takes precedence.)

I cannot believe that he argued with a rules official and used an example of something Arnold Palmer did decades ago as his reason for holding up the entire course ... while making a 10.
I'll say this, he makes it incredibly easy to root against him. Watching him card a ten was truly a joy, probably the best moment I've had in the last 4 months.

It was what Mickelson did at Arnold's tourney, but either way, yeah it was absurd. If your ball was still in bounds you could absolutely do what Phil dd, and hit it from the other side of the fence. But its not, so shut the fuck up and move on.

So you mean I have to apologize to the dick twice?

Still worth it.

Edit: announcer tossing some serious shade at Bryson there. (“Well, that was a seven shot improvement.” Or words to that effect.)

If Day's back hurts so bad every time he bends to pick the ball out of the hole, why wouldn't he just have his caddie do it for him?

I was floored when they put the graphic up earlier that said Day was among the players who have played all 6 weeks since the restart.

Also, he’s picking the ball out of the hole because he is a hero.

Gonna be 95 and windy this afternoon in Dublin. Could be an extremely tough round. I hope for a playoff with at least 3 players. Maybe 10.

It's puzzling to me that anyone could have thought DL3 would have been good at this. He's exactly what I figured he'd be, equal parts boring and uninformative.
