That stinks. Fox did a good job doing new stuff and being a breath of fresh air as something different once a year. I’m sure it’d be different if they did it every week though.

Plus their amateur tourney coverage was excellent.

I forgot the US Am is at Bandon this year. Heard so much about the place, can’t wait to see it on TV. Hopefully NBC doesn’t screw ir up.

Another charity hit and giggle coming on Wednesday afternoon. Bubba and HVIII playing a 9-hole march against Day and Wes Bryan at Detroit GC.

It would be hard to pick a more seemingly random foursome than that.

Bubba and Bryan are friendly and were entertaining at the RBC Heritage when they were the early morning out of contention featured group. HVIII is a popular player and wore a mic last week. Day sucks but I guess he's still considered a star (fun fact- Day is 58th in OWGR, one spot behind Jordan Spieth).

Kinda surprised Rickie isn't in this given he's a Rocket Mortgage guy (WHAT DOES PMI EVEN MEAN, RICK!!).

Cam Champ, who tested positive last week, is back in the field this week after the Tour tweaked some Covid rules. They will allow a player who tests positive but asymptomatic to return after 2 negative tests More than 24 hours. Champ said he tested negative 3 times after the positive test.

That seems fair to me. 3 negative tests seems like a pretty solid sample size. Covid isn't a death sentence and people do heal.

From what I understand, given the increased testing (both direct and antibody tests), it appears that the death rate for covid-19 is about 0.4% for the general population as a whole. The transmission seems to happen at the same rate regardless of age, but something like 60% of all the world's covid-19 deaths are age 80 and up. So the death rate for healthy men in their 20s and 30s has to be half of a half of a percent or something crazy low like that.

Not saying it's not serious for these guys. It is. I'm just responding to your point that for these people, covid-19 isn't a death sentence. You're right. For healthy people in this age group, it barely registers on the scale in terms of death risk. Not to say it can't happen, and there are potential ongoing health issues if you get it, and frankly, even if you survive it, it sounds like something that can be miserable to deal with, but in terms of "death sentence"...for this demographic, it just isn't really a concern.

Bryson hit 196 ball speed today on a 376 yard drive. He’s gonna get to 200 in competition soon.
The way his feet move is ridiculous...looks so out of control but then it's piped down the middle a bazillion yards

Is no one going to talk about what seems obvious about DeChambeau? Because the only time I’ve seen anything like the physical transformation he made in a matter of months (accompanied by a massive increase in power) it involved significant chemical assistance.

I’m simultaneously transfixed and appalled by what I’m seeing.

I was just watching a replay of his drive at the 1st hole today and thinking of how he reminds me of Barry Bonds. I don't think it's actually chemical in this case, but the effect is very, very similar.

I'm at the point where I hope Bryson becomes a proper villain on the PGA Tour, and the USGA and R&A use what he's doing as an excuse to finally take action and roll back the ball and/or driver technology.

Bryson really is the smartest idiot around. He got into it with a camera man today who was taping him having a tantrum in a bunker. He says the cameraman was filming him too closely and it’s damaging to his brand and the cameramen should do more to protect the players image.

He is the most fascinating player on tour, but he makes it impossible to like him.

My back hurts just watching Mark Hubbard putt.

Wolff bogeyed the first so game on. Douchbag McGee and Ryan Armour one back.

Yeah, Wolff needs to get hot quickly or this is over. Don’t think Kiz or Hatton have enough holes left to post a number. Bryson is -4 through 7 and has hit 1 fairway. He’s hitting it so far it doesn’t really even matter if he misses the fairway and this course doesn’t have a lot of trouble around it.

There's a lot of reasons not to like DeChambeau, but I'm having fun watching him go out there and destroy this course. It's going to be interesting watching the rest of the players on tour react to him.
