I'd vote for some form of add/drop, maybe the one before the season starts back up. There may be players who decide not to play the rest of the year, it would suck to have a player on your team do that.

What do people think about add/drop? I think we have 3 options:

1. Do one before it ramps up and one in the middle.
- Thought process - Its a new schedule with a new length of season, so everyone should get to do the add/drop to gear up for when it starts. Negative would be Not sure if it makes a difference seeing as no golf is being played so how do you know who to pick.

2. Just one add/drop in the middle of the season.
- Thought process - Doing it in the middle allows us to see who is playing what. Negative would be after you do the add drop, there would be two majors AND the tour championship. Someone near the bottom of the standings would be able to shoot up more than usual.

3. Scrap the add drop this year. What you get is what you get. Its a weird season. Lets get funky.
I vote scrap the add/drop. It's been funky, let's keep it funky.

I am fine with your idea on the money. For add/drop I would vote number 1. Might as well have something to do until this thing restarts.

So we’re back next week. Is the plan to just keep the same payouts and then split up whatever is leftover evenly?

How are we handling the overall standings? Paying out after the Tour Championship or holding out and including the 2 majors that are going to be played in the fall after thenTC?

Any tournament that is played between now and the Masters, that was originally in our schedule is included in the standings and the payouts. So we hold out until the Masters, which is now the last tournament of this season. But any tournament that wasn't included in our schedule is out. So like those tournaments at the beginning of the season in October won't be.

That way there's no argument that we're playing a different schedule then what we drafted for.
Payouts remain the same. Balance goes towards next year.

Pretty pumped to see my mediocre team back in action next weekend....I know there's still concern about number of people on the grounds etc. but how could the pga not put more cameras out especially on Thursday and Friday and just have the whole country's attention on those days....just hoping we get more than usual pgatour live coverage

I legit forget who is on my team. Oh that's right, Tiger fucking Woods. Let's go.

Did we come to a consensus on the add/drop?

I forgot who was on my team and had to check the first post. For shame.

My boy Sungjae is back and ready to resume ass kicking. Unfortunately I’ve got 3 guys based internationally so who the hell knows when I’ll see them next. Fleetwood, Hatton and Weisberger.

Thanks. Think I’m in the same boat with my 3 Euro players and the South African, Charl. Fleetwood has taken a similar position as Scott. End of July is the WGC St. Jude so hopefully he and some of the rest of the international players come over for that and then the PGA and playoffs if they survive not accumulating points. Who knows. My team was really rolling before the pandemic too.

We haven’t. But considering the situation with sports is fluid at best, i think the best course of action is to drop it all together this year.

Have we discussed the Workday Open? Looks like the John Deere is canceled but there is now a full field, full purse event in Muirfield the same week. Do we want to swap that event into our schedule in place of the John Deere?

So, last week I had 7 going and put up a solid two points. Have 8 this week, which means I may be a threat to put up three points for the week.

I cannot tell you how much I’ve missed bitching about my team.

1st and 7th round picks staying overseas, 3rd round pick has Covid.

Gonna be tough to steer this ship into the clubhouse. At least I’ve got Sungjae who plays every week and Hatton in the US and playing like a top 10 player in the world.

Champ has COVID? When was that announced? Was he partying with my man Watney?

EDIT--now I see, just recently announced.

Add GMac’s caddie getting Covid to this list. And then there were 4...

Happy to be in the win column with my horse taking the top spot....lost a few points on the back 9 with Todd's blowup but still a big week to get me back in the thick of things.

Gross field next week tho

Anyone have any strong feelings about this...

I'm in another golf league, and I can have 3 of these 4. Which do I forgo? Results are based totally on dollars won, weekly and cumulatively.

1. Bryson
2. Rickie
3. Hideki
4. Day + Zach Johnson

I was all set to take 1-3, and then Day had a really good week last week. He's obviously incredibly frustrating, but is he, along with Zach, likely to earn less than each of the other three for the remainder of the season?

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

I’d take Bryson, Hideki and Fowler, but it is close. Using the FedEx points as a proxy for dollars, Day + ZJ are 248 points ahead of Rickie, so they’re earning more than him. But Day carries too much risk for my taste. Day’s season could end tonight by straining his back taking a dump. He also didn’t play well for the closing stretch last year. Zach is already cooked in my opinion, he hasn’t top 10’d in almost 2 years now. Anything you get from him is a bonus. Rickie’s a better bet to play more and he’s trending up, T12, T22 the last 2 weeks and ultimately I think he is more likely to sustain better form than Day is.

I also think Zach is cooked, but he did just slip in a T11 at Travelers. That is a significant bonus. I like Rickie and I like rooting for him, but he really does underachieve a lot. However, your concerns about Day's risk are well founded. I think it's between 3 & 4.

One more option. I know you're a big Im fan, as am I. But for the remainder of this season only, would you rather have Im or Day? Im was playing great before the break, but hasn't been trending well since. Im is owned by 51% of the teams, Day 33%, Fowler 24%. Damn, this is a hard decision.

Im. He’s going to make 3-5 more starts than Day. I peg Im at 8-9 starts the rest of the way, Day is more like 5-6.

Memorial
3M
WGC FedEx
PGA Championship
Wyndham
Northern Trust
BMW
Tour Championship
US Open
Masters

Im is lock to qualify for the TC. If he takes a week off, it’ll probably be the 3M or Wyndham. Not sure if he’s chase the coin at the Wyndham but he is in position for a nice payday there. Day is 79 in the FedEx Cup so he needs to step on it to play the TC, and is dicey to make the BMW. I could be wrong on this, but I believe he also is not qualified for WGC since he is outside the top 50 in the OWGR. He’s 58, so would need a really good week this week to get back inside. He played the 3M last year but I doubt he plays it this year as it’d be 3 in a row.

I think the 3 or so extra starts sways the needle to Im. And 2 of those no cut free money starts.
