Tiger should be safe so I'll at least have 1 guy playing tomorrow!

Zomp's 8th pick, Russell Henley, is in the lead. His last five starts, he's missed the cut.

Not bad Zomp, not bad at all.

I don't think anyone else is going to be sniffing the league lead for the rest of the year. How's that for trash talk?

Does anyone want to side bet Puerto Rico? I think I'm out but I could set up a standings page if anyone else does.

My team is collectively taking a bye week. 1 guy playing Mexico and 1 playing Puerto Rico. I don't think my lead will live on past this weekend. We are smashing this trash talk thing.

I’ve got 3 of the 4 co-leaders. How can we screw this up?

Edit: Charl in the drink, Fleetwood 2 in the bunkeR, probably making double. So that’s how.

For like the last four events my guys have been leading or in second on Thursday. Then Friday comes around and they shit the bed. This week, Hideki shoots the course record, and the whole damn thing is canceled. My team is cursed!

How are we going to redistribute the money from the cancelled tournaments?

I'm not sure yet. I thought about just adding it to the year end but I feel thats unfair? Or maybe we just pay out more places?

Maybe the commish collects it as an administration fee?

In an attempt to come up with the lamest solution possible, I've given everyone 1 point for each cancelled event which results in 19 way ties for each event and everyone basically getting their money back for those events. If we come up with something better I can change it.

sounds like they are still going to try for majors and that the masters may even be in October so all hope is not lost yet, but it is certainly bleak.

At present we are looking at 6 cancelled normal events, 1 cancelled "Major" and 2 postponed Majors. It's possible we could still get all four majors. Currently we are dealing with $400 in non allocated money. One proposal could be to make the majors worth $200 each.

Maybe my entire team already had the Coronavirus. It would explain their performances to date. If so, I expect a massive second half surge while your teams are all still in quarantine.

Or my team just sucks. Again.

I am all for just making a bunch of the other tournaments worth more money. But if there is a single person in our league that is effected by the current world status and could use their entry fee back, or some percent of what isn't going to be played, I am all in for not letting this league get in the way of someone paying a bill during a hardship that no one could see coming.

I think we have to see what kind of schedule is left if/when they restart. Spreading the money out over the remaining tournaments seems fine to me but it is hard to project without knowing the number of tournaments that will be played.

If there are folks in this league, which I generally love (although completely suck at), that are struggling and need their entry fee back for whatever reason, I will pay my entry fee again so they can get a refund and stay in.

I never view these things as a way to win money (which coincidentally works out well, because again, I suck) so whatever you all decide to do with the cancelled tournaments is fine by me. We can do both, help people hurting and spread the money around. I'm sure I'm not the only one happy to help and able to do so in this group.

This is stated better than my post and precisely what I was trying to say.

My team - after inexplicably putting up 26 points in week one - has nosedived faster than the S&P. And I don’t give a damn, because it’s entertainment.

Whatever we decide is fine by me.

So now that the PGA Tour announced the new schedule (not that it won't change, because it will), I think this is what we should do.

- Not increase payouts. Whatever money we have left over goes towards next year. If someone leaves the league they'll get that money refunded.
- Whatever tournaments happen, we count towards standing except for the Tour Championship.
- Keep year end payouts the same.

Lets just hope they get to play the majority of those tournaments because I don't know what we'll do if they can't.

I'm good with that. If anyone wants the refund instead of it carrying over to next year's fee just let me know at the end of the year.

Once we are sure of the final schedule we can calculate what tourneys are missed and what the impact is. At minimum we've lost 2 majors (Players and The Open Championship presented by Her Majesty the Queen).

By my count we've lost 8 events, 2 of them being $100 events. So $500 worth, which works out if everyone gets $25 or so towards next year.

Here is the remaining schedule.

- June 8-14: Charles Schwab Challenge, Colonial Country Club, Fort Worth, Texas
• June 15-21: RBC Heritage, Harbour Town Golf Links, Hilton Head, South Carolina
• June 22-28: Travelers Championship, TPC River Highlands, Cromwell, Connecticut
• July 2-5: Rocket Mortgage Classic, Detroit Golf Club, Detroit, Michigan
• July 6-12: John Deere Classic, TPC Deere Run, Silvis, Illinois
• July 13-19: the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide, Muirfield Village Golf Club, Dublin, Ohio
• July 20-26: 3M Open, TPC Twin Cities, Blaine, Minnesota
• July 27-August 2: World Golf Championships-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, TPC Southwind, Memphis, Tennessee
• August 3-9: PGA Championship, TPC Harding Park, San Francisco, California
• August 10-16: Wyndham Championship, Sedgefield Country Club, Greensboro, North Carolina
• August 17-23: THE NORTHERN TRUST, TPC Boston, Norton, Massachusetts
• August 24-30: BMW Championship, Olympia Fields Country Club (North), Olympia Fields, Illinois
• August 31-September 7: TOUR Championship, East Lake Golf Club, Atlanta, Georgia
September 14-20: U.S. Open, Winged Foot Golf Club, Mamaroneck, New York
• November 9-15: Masters Tournament, Augusta National Golf Club, Augusta, Georgia

What do people think about add/drop? I think we have 3 options:

1. Do one before it ramps up and one in the middle.
- Thought process - Its a new schedule with a new length of season, so everyone should get to do the add/drop to gear up for when it starts. Negative would be Not sure if it makes a difference seeing as no golf is being played so how do you know who to pick.

2. Just one add/drop in the middle of the season.
- Thought process - Doing it in the middle allows us to see who is playing what. Negative would be after you do the add drop, there would be two majors AND the tour championship. Someone near the bottom of the standings would be able to shoot up more than usual.

3. Scrap the add drop this year. What you get is what you get. Its a weird season. Lets get funky.
