Is the course playing tougher today? I realize the leaders haven’t even teed off, but with nearly half the field finished, no one has posted a score below 69.

Edit: only 28 finished, and I missed Cantlay’s 66.

I will say, with all the complaining about the bunkers not having a lot of sand, the average weekend hack can probably feel better about his bunker play...

I keep JT was very critical about the lack of sand in the bunkers after his round today, and I keep seeing guys thin balls out of the bunkers and looking exasperated. Here's a thought: maybe try not to hit your ball into the bunkers? There's nothing wrong with hazards being hazardous.
Normal bunkers really are way too easy for these guys.

This is a great course. Tough, scenic, and there are like 10 guys within a shot of the lead. I really like it. I love the majors at public courses.

That story about the old guy dying last fall confused me. It was kind of like a drunk person digressing, then realizing and abruptly ending the story (“it was a sad time ... when he died”).

Li's driver is such a liability right now - he could spiral out of contention pretty quickly

I'm sure this has been mentioned a few times above, but having PGA golf, especially a major, this late in the day is phenomenal.

Anyone going into the clubhouse at -7 will feel like they're in with a shot on Sunday
