I think it means he signed a guy who was a very good starting qb 2 years ago for the league minimumUgh! Does this mean Belichick doens't think so highly of Stidham after all? This doesn't excite me at all.
Nah, they definitely love Stidham. It’s just a low risk high reward move, can’t question the talent Cam has. Especially when you consider it’s for league minimum, Cam wants to prove himself.Ugh! Does this mean Belichick doens't think so highly of Stidham after all? This doesn't excite me at all.
I don't think so. Stidham could have been drafted first overall and you'd still want some level of non-Hoyer insurance kicking around. Mind you, given the cap, I was fine with that. However I feel about Newton there is no downside to this and I don't think that it reflected on Stidham negatively whatsoever.Ugh! Dwight Freeney and Le'Veon Bell are probably the biggest success storiesNo. Has there ever been a profesional athlete to come back from a Linsfranc injury to play at a high level?
Worst case is that he beats out Stidham and the Pats win 7-9 games, so we never get to see Stidham play but we don't draft high enough in the first round to get one of the better QBs.It's really hard to be upset over a cheap deal for Cam Newton. Worst case he isn't ready and gets cut.
As one source with knowledge of the situation explained it to PFT, the opportunity to play for coach Bill Belichick in the New England system and to re-energize his image were major factors in the decision.
This move doesn’t really reflect on Stidham, but good try.Where are the Stidham truthers?
Only in your imagination, just as they were an hour ago.Where are the Stidham truthers?
Especially since he signed with DallasUpside: no chance they sign Andy Dalton now.
You just can’t help yourself, can you?Where are the Stidham truthers?
Kinda both?Especially since he signed with Dallas
