He won't be active, knowing BB. That defensive back who imitated Russell Wilson a couple of weeks ago will be the backup QB.
Likely too late, but under the just-announced NFL rules this week, team meetings (e.g., the 3 QBs and Josh) must now all be virtual ones.
Hmm not sure how they can play without seeing if any other positives pop up, but didn't someone layout the testing approach by the NFL as no tests done on Saturday? Cynically I'd say, so if a last minute test on Friday did show someone positive they could plow forward with Sunday's game.
It's the NFL so who knows but I don't see how either. Next week's game seems in jeopardy as well.
There’s no way they can stick them all on a plane not knowing who might become contagious or symptomatic on that flight or by the time they fly home after the game tomorrow.
The only responsible thing to do is postpone this game. With a several day incubation period, this most certainly would spread to the Chiefs if they play tomorrow since there’s a pretty high likelihood that other Pats players are carrying the virus even though they may currently test negative.

Given how much we know Belichick has attention to detail this is really surprising to me and I would have thought we had a better chance than any other team. I guess this is just the thing that happens if there is no bubble.

The typical pattern for these things in a locker room/indoor setting (assuming Cam's is not a false positive) is that new positives will trickle in over the next few days. I don't really know how they can play a game tomorrow.
In Tennessee they held out hope for the game as the initial positive tests were early in the week but ultimately had to cancel. Given Cam is positive late Friday night and they really need to do testing over the next few days to get enough info, a postponement seems inevitable to me.

Yup. How many more players do we need to test positive today for it to be postponed?
Except that the Falcons were at home and didn’t have to make two cross-country flights in two day to get to and from their game.
Falcons had no additional positives after their player tested positive last week.
But when did he test positive? The game is tomorrow, that's the problem here.
I don't think it's appropriate to assume even if everyone tests negative today, that's enough time to really know.
But the NFL is gonna NFL, so I guess anything is possible.

Sure, that’s an additional challenge but he was still around his team that week and no one else tested positive.
So, none of Cam’s close contacts can travel. That is probably a significant number and likely includes Josh and could include the head coach. It probably includes the line. He is the QB.
Seems like the smart thing to do given that we appear to be at a tipping point is build in an extra month at the end of the season now for makeup games. Super bowl first weekend of March would really not fuck up the next year calendar at all.

I'm sure that Brian Hoyer's a good guy, but there's no way in hell I'm giving up three hours of my weekend to watch him do anything, much less play QB.
