All the commotion about Brady and then Gronk to Tampa Bay but the team just isn't that good.
Coming here to say the same thing. But thanks to the NFC East sucking and 75% of NFC North being under .500, they're going to make the playoffs.

The Camel City
Raising a drink for you and yours, thanks for sharing the good news!
Thank you! It all worked out for the better. And the job may even eventually bring us back to Boston - or at least give more opportunities to visit.

In an awful year for so many - and with some challenges for us - we are very fortunate. Raising a glass indeed.

Are the Football Team going to be able to get a QB this off-season?

Atlanta is moving up the rankings of “cities who really hate Tom Brady” today huh?

Ryan takes poor sacks. TB's defense didn't show in the first half but they stepped up big in the 2nd.

Cousins throwing 3 yard dumps in the middle of the field isn't going to get it done.

Do the Vikings realize the clock is running?

Half yard short and they just gave it to him. Spotting is crazy business. It's actually a huge call.

How on EARTH do they give him the first down? He was a full half-yard short, and even when they stretched the chains, there was a couple inches between the tip of the ball and the first down marker. I mean....WTF.

Do the Falcons take a QB? I mean I think Ryan still has a decent amount of football left.
First thing Blank needs to do is take a twenty out of the wallet and buy the book "How to keep a 3 possession lead in today's NFL" at the Barnes and Noble

I've been debating this myself, and I think it depends where they are in the final draft order and which prospects the new GM likes. There's a school of thought that they should try to hire Brian Daboll as their new coach and maybe draft a QB like Trey Lance, hoping to develop him like Daboll helped develop Josh Allen? I do think that Ryan still has some good football left in him, and under a new coach and (especially) OC he might still manage to play it in Atlanta. I also think that with better coaching, there's enough talent in Atlanta to at least sniff the playoffs next year - I mean, if they could recover onside kicks, not score TDs when kneeling would win you the game and generate any offense with a 14+ point lead, it's not a stretch to say the Falcons should have 9 wins already this year. But who knows?

It might have seemed like a huge call to a bunch of gamblers...but really, if they were short of the first down, the percentage play would have been to go for the first down anyway. (If they fail, Atlanta still needs to go 90+ yards in less than a minute with no timeouts.)
Yeah but at least they'd have had a chance. Giving them the nonexistent first down completely ended the game. I'd be pissed if I was a Falcons' fan.

There's a good chance they'll be 11-5 and 11-5 teams make the playoffs pretty much every time even under the previous format (I know, I know, 2008, but still).

Jets have just scored on the opening drive 8 games in a row. That’ll probably be it for the day.

Operation Warp Drive is apparently effective. I have no idea why Gase stops warping after the first drive.
Same shit last year. His scripted drives are great and then it falls way off.

Seems like Adam shared his coke with the D. B2B 3 and outs wtf?
