Tyreke Hill goes for 203 yards in a quarter. Meanwhile, in Denver we're still at negative passing yards at the 2 minute warning...

You know, maybe I was too nice about Arians. Is he the worst coach in the league outside of Gase?
After today I put Anthony Lynn up there or down there depending on your perspective. I think it goes Arians Lynn and Gase in terms of awful coaches with Gase being the worst.

Seems like the only difference between Denver and New Orleans is that the Saints prepared to play this game without an NFL QB.

Bucs ownership might not want Arians or Brady back.
There is no way TB doesn’t bring Brady back. He’s been solid this year and mostly a victim of other flaws in the organization. He’s absolutely good enough to run those methodical drives he’s known for. He just hasn’t had the playbook or OL to do it with.

As for Arians, he’s a better coach than this but being forced to change his scheme to fit his own. That’s harder to do than it seems.

That said, players win games, not coaches unless they are named Belichick. So if forced to choose TB will choose Brady as they should. And Brady is too old to get used to some coach he’s unfamiliar with.

I will be shocked if by next season Tom Brady is being coached by anybody but Josh McDaniels.

Tampa goes to 7-5, but their remaining schedule is Atlanta x2, Minnesota and Detroit. 10/11 wins it is. They aren't catching New Orleans though and it's hard to see them doing anything of note in the playoffs.

And if we hear about another player with multiple incidents of domestic abuse including breaking a 3 year old's arm, I will root for him to blow out both his Achilles on every play too.
Adrian Peterson?

I did not watch the fight, but that second sentence you just wrote scares the bejeezus out of me.
Please please please check it out. It’s the best thing I’ve ever seen. And not even in a train wreck way - that was Ray Leonard and Israel Adesanya’s attempts - but Mauro and Snoop were fucking virtuousi.

Atlanta just smoked the Raiders 43-6 without Julio. I can see them bugging this current Bucs team a lot.

The lack of compete from the Bucs is the scary thing. Maybe the bye will help. They could lose to the Falcons once and the Vikings and finish 9-7, which might be good enough for the playoffs.

Huge turn of events in Tampa. KC was driving for a 24-0 lead. Mahomes fumbles, and Tampa scores on the ensuing drive to make it 17-7.

the amount of yards that the chiefs can get quickly is so different from Brady throwing 3-5 yard passes.
This is what is driving me crazy...BB has been very clear...take away the big play and make them drive the field and TB comes out and single covers Hill....

Yes, Brady throws much shorter passes, but as long as you don't let KC score quickly he can keep up...so stupid playing stupid defense.

But that was the same situation in the AFCCG a couple of years ago too. But the Pats found a way to win. You can beat KC with a less high-octane offense. You just gotta play your game and play it well. Really well.

One under appreciated aspect of Tyreek Hill's game is that he's got really good hands. Often times these burners don't have good hands, but Hill catches virtually everything he can get his hands on.

That game was fucking crazy.
Yes it was. Of all the Pats' playoff wins, for me that one ranks right up in the pantheon. Held off the crowning of the next great QB for one year, won on the road, in incredible fashion, and was capped by a SB title. Absolutely, without question, one of the best wins in the entire 19 year dynasty.

The scariest development with Mahomes is how much savvier and disciplined he has become. 2018 Mahomes tries to force one or more of the balls he wisely threw away on that set of downs. This Mahomes doesn’t.

Mahomes had 359 pass yards that half. That's just short of these two records. He had to throw the ball away all of the last series, too.

  • Most passing yards, 1st half: 361, Peyton Manning on January 9, 2005
  • Most passing yards, 2nd half: 373, Kurt Warner on September 28, 2008
