Wasn't Carson Palmer's injury similar? Wow, terrible news for Bengals' fans.
Yep. The good news is that Palmer tore his in January and was back for the third game of the preseason. The bad news is, well, everything else. It's six games of lost development, no offseason time for someone that didn't have it this year and now having to watch Ryan Finley for six games (including one on national TV) who is the worst QB I've ever seen this side of Nathan Peterman. Some franchises just can't have nice things. Suck for Sewell is officially on.

I wonder if this'd make them a possible trade target if they do finish bottom 5. Would they have enough confidence in Burrow's rehab to trade a pick with a coveted QB prospect at that slot?

It’s only even a possibility if they don’t have a chance at drafting Penei Sewell, who’s supposed to be a generational LT. Even then, they almost never make big draft trades.
