Haha, quick google search had him as the 12th rated PK in the draft.

Another one said...Best case scenario, signs as an UDFA somewhere. Other scenario is he gets invited to a training camp.

"Rohrwasser took a giant step toward executing every fine detail in the 2019 season when he went 18 of 21 on field goal attempts with a long of 53 yards while also serving as the Herd's kickoff specialist.
That 53-yard field goal came on a game-winner in the rain against rival Western Kentucky to give Marshall a 26-23 Homecoming win. It also put the cap on a day on which he went 4 for 4 in the weather-hindered contest."

I know we all don't really know anything, but would this guy have been drafted at all? Pick him up in the 7th if you need to.
How many kickers taken so far? Bunch of 6th round picks, perhaps Bill could have waited until then. But then again perhaps he sees equal value in other positions in the sixth and decided this was the point to pluck the kicker he believes in.

Patriots were sick of being in a three way tie for teams who have drafted the most players from Marshall. Best explanation I have got.

When they fake-kick from 4th and short or near the goal-line he is much better to hand the ball off to at his size than most kickers.

Strategery!

I'm fine with the kicker pick, nobody seems to really be able to value kickers, just look at all the turnover teams have. Bill has been a bit of an exception, when he drafts a kicker he does it early with a single guy in mind and he's had remarkable success. This seems like an area where his history shows the possibility of a real advantage over the rest of the league

I trust kicker scouting less than other positions.

Another head-scratching BB pick - there are so many every draft! First, we were excited about getting Superfoot Blankenship but no. Then the kicker he picks is not top rated. Oh yeah, and we piss away our 5th round pick for someone we could've got later or as an UDFA

"Why are they taking an option QB in the 7th round?"

"Why are they taking a rubgy player in the 6th"

"Why are they taking a guy who didn't play QB in college and was moved to TE in the 7th"

They miss plenty too, but there's SOOO much we don't know....

Johnson was still available?

And instead we get a neo-nazi12th best kicker?

Myra never would have accepted this pick
