What a crock. He's the head coach. If he had been paying attention (and why wouldn't he have been after the exact same thing almost happened on the play before?), Gase could have called timeout and overruled Williams. This loss is just as much on Gase as on Williams, no matter how bad Gase felt afterwards. Boo hoo.

Jets less motivated to tank on game vs pats...means pats less likely to win...means better draft position potentially for pats

Very impressive to you have your only win against a 9-4 team. Much respect to the players and assistant coaches.

I can’t believe Gase held the locker room together enough to win in week 15 @ LA. They have been playing pretty good for a few weeks now(not at Seattle). I have no idea what he is telling the players.

This is a crazy year. Waiting for the new coach and the draft is going to feel like an eternity.

In all honesty, would you have chosen the #1 pick + going 0-16 versus winning 1 game but losing out on Lawrence?

I just listened to the Gase presser. During the game they reported that McVay called Gase during the week, which I heard them say. What Gase elaborated on was the time that McVay called. That crazy bastard called at 7:15 east coast time, which meant it was 4:15am for McVay.

Jags remaining games are against the Bears and Colts. Both are probably going to need to win the game if they are going to make the playoffs so it won't be easy if the Jags aren't just tanking.

Jags won’t make the same mistake as the jets - no way

In that case it's a moot point because a player who would refuse to play for the Jets sure as shit isn't going to Jacksonville.
A player could reasonably have concerns about organizational dysfunction (Jets), or about living in a backwater (Jaguars), but it’s two totally different sets of concerns, and a player who was concerned enough about one to force a trade might be less concerned, or even unconcerned, with the other.

I went hunting for a good clip from Lawrence of Arabia to use as a meme here, but struck out. I did like these bits of dialogue though:

T.E. Lawrence: The trick is not minding that it hurts.

T.E. Lawrence: I'm not hurt at all. Didn't you know? They can only kill me with a golden bullet.

General Allenby (should be played by Joe Douglas): I'm promoting you, major.
T.E. Lawrence: I don't think that's a very good idea.

T.E. Lawrence: The best of them won't come for money. They'll come for me!

Jets’ fans should take heart from JAX’s decision to start Mike Glennon tomorrow. Gardner Minshew looked like a real NFL quarterback early in the season, but he hasn’t been the same since returning from injury. Glennon has looked decent in limited action and almost certainly won’t be on the team next year (Minshew and Luton are both under contract and dirt cheap; they will compete to back up whomever is brought in to start), so Glennon will be using the next two games as an audition for a backup gig somewhere else.

On D, Quinnen our best player. Maye (Safety is also very good). Our young secondary overall is getting better. Drafted kid from Virginia that was hurt coming out so he fell to the 5th. I like him in the games he has played (he was hurt to start the year). The D need solid linebackers and 1 more cb (assuming they resign Poole). Q, Moseley if he plays, and Maye up the middle is solid.

They need both a LG and RG

needs RBs.

Need another WR

Things will get very confusing(visually) in NYC if we hire Daboll (these are not the same guy).
