Miguel just noted in a retweet that the KVN deal may be enough to get the Patriots a third round comp pick.

If Fant got 3/$30M with $13.7M guaranteed, Ifedi's market is going to be ridiculous. And they both won't be worth it. I could see Ifedi getting 4/$52M with $27M guaranteed from some sucker now.

Isn’t Ifedi terrible, or did he finally come around? I feel like every Seahawks game I’ve ever seen he’s slow off the snap and has his arms at full extension while someone runs right around him to Wilson. Who’s going to throw money at him?

He completely sucks, but he stays healthy and someone is going to think that because he was a first round pick, he still has some upside. People are fucking desperate for tackles.

The Pats are down two of their starting linebackers from their all-world defense from last year. I think they're replaceable, especially Collins, who was awesome the first half of the year and then basically disappeared after that. But still...he's a legit starting LB in the NFL.

And not just linebackers; in the D they ran last year, Collins and Van Noy played a lot of edge rusher. They finished 1/2 on the team in sacks. It's even harder / more expensive to find edge rushers than linebackers.

To BJ's point, 10.5 of their 13.5 sacks came in the first half of the season. I'd have to go back and watch the film to confirm, but it certainly felt like a lot of those early season sacks were scheme and coverage sacks. Either opponents figured some things out, or they stopped being as effective down the stretch. Probably a little of both, but they combined for only 3 sacks in the second half of the season. Van Noy's snap count suddenly dipped for a few weeks in December, so he may have been battling an injury.

I think they're both good players (especially Van Noy) who are, more or less, replaceable at those price tags. Winovich will likely slide into one of those spots.

That is a crazy price given the WR depth in this draft. Decent chance a WR at least as good as Diggs would be available when BUF would have been drafting.

So, uh, did the Bills prefer Diggs or did Bill O'Brien not even call Buffalo?

Regardless of the price Buffalo paid, I'm not terribly excited about having to face Diggs twice a year. He's good.

And if the Hopkins trade didn't look incredibly awful already ...

I still can't believe the Texans dealt DeAndre and took back DJ (and his entire salary) in the same deal. All for a 2nd-round pick, while still giving up a 4th? Brutal.
I think we have to wait and see what happens with Hopkins contract. If they tear up his contract before the season and restructure, it's going to look better. Although still probably shitty.
