I have a feeling very few of our board's denizens will be happy after this weekend.

Saturday
6 Vikings (11-6) at 1 49ers (13-3), 4:35pm EST, NBC, SF -7.0
6 Titans (10-7) at 1 Ravens (14-2), 8:15pm EST, CBS, Bal -10.0

Sunday
4 Texans (11-6) at 2 Chiefs (12-4), 3:05pm EST, CBS, KC -10.0
5 Seahawks (12-5) at 2 Packers (13-3), 6:40pm EST, Fox, GB -4.5

I'd rather have the NBC crew for the Hawks game than having to listen to Aikman crown Rodgers, but what can you do?

Hot take: all 4 home teams will win and cover.
I’m not as sold on Green Bay covering, by my numbers. But agree all four home teams win. Think the national pundits are starting to overthink things or take the credit if they get it right in the upset to get more eyes.

First time all season I’ve had two different games with spreads greater than 3 points off from Vegas by my own stuff (Ravens and Chiefs to cover, latter over 4 points). Seems like a good betting week if you ask me.

49ers last five games have been decided by 7 points or less. Like the Patriots, their defense went from historic to paper tigers in the second half of the season. Young team, first playoff game for Jimmy, they seem ripe for an upset.

Of the four games, I don't expect any of them will be even competitive other than Seahawks @ Packers.

I still can't believe the Texans will be allowed to play another playoff game. They should have just given Baltimore another bye and made KC and TEN compete for the right to play them.

Minnesota has been competitive in all of their games, maybe other than week 2. I see no reason why they'll get blown out this week.

The Packers are not a good team, but they got lucky getting Seattle. Seattle's team is as lousy as Green Bay, but they have Russ.

And I think Russ will beat Rodgers.

Minnesota is a great team. They have a chance. But Cousins might be a problem.

The only game that I see being terrible is Houston versus Kansas City. Houston is a poor team. KC is home and will crush. Against the spread, I would take Seattle, Minnesota, KC, and Tennessee. So I like the points.

You know that Houston already won in KC this year, right? I mean it's possible KC will still crush them. But a Houston win wouldn't be crazy.

Doesn't matter to me at all. That was in October. Houston is a bad team and Fuller is hurt and when Fuller is hurt, they need miracles to move the ball.

I'll note Fuller played in that game against KC. Without Fuller, that team is bad.

Plus, Mahomes got hurt in the first half of that game.
Fair points. I think Houston will hang around for 2 and a half quarters or so, then lose by 10-17.

yup, agreed. It’s going to be a big time blowout weekend. The two games should be great next weekend tho.

KC-Bal could be an all-timer. I mean, last year's AFCCG was an all-timer too, but KC-Bal, with everyone basically healthy, could just be an epic battle. As much as I'm bummed the Pats aren't in it anymore, I'd love to watch that game just as a pure football fan.

Yeah, NE-KC followed by KC-BAL would be a nice run of AFCCG. Hard to imagine it could top the entertainment value and drama of last year’s game, but it doesn’t have to.

I'd love to see Green Bay/Minnesota and Baltimore/KC in the championship games.

With this being the 100th year of the NFL, would be pretty cool to see a Green Bay/Kansas City Super Bowl, a rematch of the first one, or Minnesota/Kansas City in another rematch from 50 years ago.

I have zero interest in a Super Bowl involving the Ravens in any way, shape or form.

Same with the 49ers; if they win it, I'll be carpet bombed with "The Patriots should have gotten rid of Brady and kept Garoppolo" narrative.

No thanks.

I think both NFC games will be competitive. Vikings are a lot better than people realize. What Cousins did last week wasn't a fluke. He's been one of the best QBs in the league the past couple months. If Thielen is compromised at all, that's a big blow. Niners defense is kind of a wild card here as well. They declined badly down the stretch, but they were also pretty banged up. They have some key guys coming back after the bye, but who knows how compromised they will be. I think this will be the best game of the weekend and I'm pissed I'll have to miss it.

I'm not convinced the Packers are good, but Seattle is being held together by Russ Wilson, duct tape, and bailing wire. I'll stick with my original pick of Seattle here, but this will likely be an ugly game that could go either way.

I don't see either road team in the AFC being able to score enough points to keep up with the Ravens and/or Chiefs, not without multiple game changing, field flipping TOs or special teams plays. Watson could blow up, I guess, but KC actually has a defense this season. Will Fuller is an X factor but even if he plays, how effective will he be?

the NFC is maybe the best chance ever for a 6 vs 5 Championship game. Seattle is the luckiest team in the world if that happens. The lowest seeds I can remember for a Conference Championship was 6 Eagles vs 4 Cardinals back in the late 2000s.

AFC feels like easy chalk, but let's see how Jackson is in this January, he was pretty bad last January. I also still think KC's defense is below average, but Houston is not likely to exploit it on the ground.

I'm still annoyed we set up KC so well with our collapse, but honestly, especially with Edelman's insane injuries (which probably partially caused that key drop), I think KC beats us again if they were the 3 seed anyways, so it really didn't matter... other than giving Baltimore maybe the harder matchup this weekend.

Seattle was tied for second to last in the league with 28 sacks. They were tied with Atlanta and Detroit, and better than only Miami. I think Rodgers has a big game and GB wins somewhat easily.
I wonder how many would guess this stat, I bet the presence of Clowney (people routinely overrate the importance of brand name individual pass rushers who aren’t Aaron Donald) throws them off the scent.

I thought Rodney’s comments on SF being too loose and confidence were interesting.

I really hope Harry comes to life next year, because Deebo and Metcalf are really good.

BB probably doesn't give a shit now and is on to 2020, but Sanders should have been the trade target. didn't he cost less than Sanu did?

fine, then the mistake was jumping on the AB high risk train (which blew up immediately, let's be honest) instead of waiting for Sanders to be available.

Here
Didn't I read something that said that Sanu was the 49ers first choice and pivoted to Sanders after Sanu went to the Pats?
