Tough year for the Sox and Pats.

Sox trade Mookie. They have a terrible season. Mookie probably wins the MVP and wins the World Series.

Pats let Brady go. They have a terrible season. Brady in the MVP conversation and his team is near the top of the league.

The golden era of Boston sports ended with kind of a thud.

Yeah all Boston sports has now is an nhl team that won the presidents trophy and an nba team that made game 6 of the ecf and is led by one of the best young stars in the league

I'm one of the first to cry "entitled" around here, but he makes a valid point, which kind of ties into my own, we were riding pretty high for a while, but we appear to be on the downslope, with the exception of the Celtics. I'm not stomping my foot like some do, but I'll acknowledge we had an insane run in all 4 major sports the last twenty years, it was going to come to an end at some point.

Its not as bad as it could be for sure. I love the Celtics’ prospects. But the two marquee teams in town suck right now in a bad way, and the two best players in Boston sports are gone and doing fantastically well elsewhere.

There may still be success (read: championships) on the horizon, but right now the golden era appears to be over.

It’s a bummer, but what can you do? Maybe the Cs win the title next year and we’re back on top again.

I know it was only a two month season, but who had Mike Yastrzemski as an top ten MVP finisher?
Just because there's always a need for mocking Peter King:

Coolest thing about the National League MVP voting: Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski finished eighth. His grandfather (and my favorite athlete growing up in northern Connecticut), Carl Yastrzemski, finished in the top eight of American League MVP voting three times in his Hall of Fame career.
Gee, Peter, maybe the coolest thing about his finishing 8th might be something else?
